K.O., Deuce, and Meko

He Did Everything

5 o'clock came way to fast. It was time for my run. I always went on my morning run to clear my mind and to put that work in. I always tried to do about 5miles, sometimes I did more sometimes I did less. I'm going to do a little more this morning, because i  got a lot of stuff on my mind and it will give Tonya more time to sleep before I call.  I had to smooth things over, i love her to death.  She knows what type of guy i am, and she know i wouldn't leave her at a time like this, especially with the baby and all.  I'm not worried too much, I know Meko been taking care of business.   And where the fuck is Deuce.  I planned to do 8 miles today but i couldn't even do 5, i had too much on my mind.  I headed back to the room, i need to talk to Tonya and i have to talk to Duece and Meko.  I hadn't talked to Meko in almost a week, no big deal he always did that.  When i finally got in i checked my phone.  3 missed calls from Tonya.  She was definitely up earlier than i thought she would be.  She probably couldn't sleep either, she probably wants to apologize and smooth things over just like me.  I called her back.
"Hello"
"What up baby" i replied
"Nothing, i couldn't sleep at all last night, i was going to call you earlier than i did but i wanted to give you time to sleep," she said.
I knew she was tired by the raspiness in her voice.
"You should have just called, i didn't sleep much either, but i didn't want to wake you," i replied.
"I want to apologize for last night, not for what i said but how i said it, and also for not being there for my son.  I know it's been hard with me not around, but we just have to get through these tough times and everything will pay off.  Even though Meko is there, i know it's not the same as me being there," I said firmly.
"Baby you don't have to apologize, i said somethings that i didn't mean and that didn't come out right last night too.  i have just been so tired these last few weeks and the bay is wearing me out. But first of all, the baby is not a boy and i haven't seen or heard from Meko in about a couple days," she replied.
"Yea, it's been a week for me , but you know how Meko is" i said.
"Yea but im pregnant, so he has responsibilities, he is supposed to be you while you are not here you remember," she asked but i knew she wasn't really asking.
"He did everything up until he stopped coming around," she said.
"My bad babe, i'll call him, he's probably just with one of his girls or a new girl and just decided to stay in and cake," i replied, not calmly not letting her hear the anger in my voice.
"Thanks babe and i love you, i hate arguing with you, i never want to or like too, i'm about to get some sleep, i am soooo tired," she said while yawning.
"Oh!!! and I've been seeing a car that looks just like Deuce's , but it's all wrecked and beat up, i thought it was him at first, but I know how Deuce loves his car, and he would rather walk before he drives it looking like that," she said while laughing.
"Definitely" I said agreeing with her.
"And the fact that he about 1000 miles away from home" we both laughed and hung up.
I called Deuce as soon as we hung up.  It took him forever to answer.  He said that he was tired from practice, but I also heard a girl in the background so....
"Where you been," I asked.
"Uhhh, where do you think I've been, coach has been killing my ass at practice so I've been coming straight home and going to bed," he responded.
"I figured, wit yo lazy ass," i said jokingly while laughing.
"It must be somebody back at home with a car that looks like yours, Tonya said she thought she saw you but the car was beat up so she know it wasn't you," I told him.
"Exactly, you know i take care of my shit, anyway im bout to go back to sleep, I'll hit you when i get up," he said.
