K.O., Deuce, and Meko

Finally On Campus

Florida was everything I expected times 10, and nothing had even happened yet. Athletes were allowed to be on campus before most of the other students were. So we definitely took advantage. Before we had to start practicing and going to class, we wanted to enjoy being on campus and everything college had to offer. Normally baseball players don't hang out with the football guys, but it was me and Deuce so that didn't last very long. Deuce and a couple of his teammates were going to a party tonight and he asked me to come with him. I invited a couple of my teammates but they were hesitant about being around the football team. They said that the football has a bad reputation on campus and didn't really want to be a part of it.
The party went by in a blur because I probably fell asleep of something. Tonya and the baby was the only thing on my mind. I had to get in the shower and call Tonya.  I think I took the fastest shower I had ever taken in my life, I just couldn't wait anymore.
"Hello" a beautiful voice on the other side of the phone said.
"What's up baby" I replied.
"What is Jr doing" I asked before she even had time to answer the first question.

She hates when I do that.  When I assume that the baby is a boy. But I'm not assuming, I just know.
"SHE is doing ok, she has been moving a lot today, she needs to calm down," she said while taking a deep breath as if she was in pain.
I started to talk about Florida and how amazing and beautiful it is out here, but she didn't want to hear it.
"K.O I really don't care, I'm super tired and I don't feel like hearing about your little girls or your little game."
"What, I don't have any girls, except you and baseball is not a little game, it's going to provide a future for us." I said confidently.
"Us, Us, remember you left us"
"What"
"I didn't even want to leave. I wanted to stay with you and that baby," I explained.
"But in order for me to provide for you and the baby I need to do this, i'm gonna make it, and then you can have whatever you want ANYTHING you want" I exclaimed.

"Kea'onn you been saying that since you was a kid, you about to have a kid, you need to grow up," she yelled.
I was astonished, amazed, flabbergasted, and angry at the same time. I can't believe she was saying this to me. She knows me. But I don't know her right now. Is she changing on me? Is it the baby that's just making her talk crazy? Lastly, has she seen me play? I know she's seen me play. She's always came to all my games.
"You need to come home and get a job and take care of us," she went on to say.
"I'm not getting a fucking job, I play baseball, I'm gone continue to play baseball. I'm gone always be good to you and I'm gone be a good ass daddy. What you don't believe in me. " I asked in disbelief.
"I didn't say that Kea'onn," she replied seriously. I know when she saya my whole name it's serious.
"Well, that's what it sounds like. I don't want to talk anymore, I need to get some rest," I exclaimed.
"So now you slee- "
I hung up before she can even finish.
She's tripping. I kept repeating to myself. I tossed and turned the whole night. I kept going back and forth with what she said. She definitely WAS tripping....
wasn't she? Or should I be home taking care of her and the baby? I knew I shouldn't have left. But I had to leave, this was my dream, before Tonya, and way before the baby. Plus I knew Meko was taking care of everything. She's tripping tripping. I'm just going to let her sleep it off, apologize and then call Meko to see what's up. Right now, I have to get some sleep.
