He' s Already Here Baby

"Baby is that you, talk to momma baby," she said knowing that it was me.

"Momma," I said through the the tears.

"He's gone Momma," I couldn't stop crying.

I always talked to Momma. Momma was like my best friend when I was young but as I got older..... I got older. We didn't spend as much time together but we still always talked. But this time was different. We never talked like this before. She knew I was hurting and I knew she knew.

"I know baby, it's ok to cry, I know it hurts and I know it's not fair," she always knew everything.

"You gotta stay strong baby, you need to come home for a little bit so you can be around people that loves you. You shouldn't be by yourself right now," she demanded in a nice voice like she was giving me a choice.

"You need your momma and daddy at a time like this," she added.

"I know Momma, I'm gonna get some sleep, imma call you in the morning. I still gotta get in touch wit Deuce and we will start heading up," I said while yawning.

"He's already here baby," she replied.

"Already there?" I asked shocked.

"When did he get there," never mind momma, I'm going to sleep.

I call you before I hit the road.
As you could probably imagine I didn't get any sleep again for the hundredth night in a row. My mind was going in ten different directions at the same time. I was thinking about Meko, damn Meko what happen? You was supposed to be here with us forever. I was thinking about the baby. You know the baby that was my baby two days ago, but now it's my niece or nephew. How could Tonya do that to me? Why did Meko do that to me? Why didn't he just tell me and I would have just left her alone? What is his momma gone do now? They were so close, she lost her husband and now here son. Fuckkkkk!!! My life is crazy right now. I just want to wake up from this bad dream. This couldn't be real, this isn't life right now, this isn't my life.
I kept trying to fall asleep but I couldn't. I watched TV and listened to music for as long as I could trying to past the time. I was trying to wait for the sun to peak through the blinds before I hit the road but I couldn't wait any longer.
