slowly tiptoeing out of the room I head straight towards where the sound of a heart monitor is going, at the moment the nurses and doctors are out so this is my only time to find out who is in here with me, I reach the end of the hallway and notice a blacked out door with the writing

engraved onto a small plark, subject zero what the. I slowly open the door and see a small woman covered in tubes and dressings looking like she was hit by a bus and somehow survived, I walk a bit closer before jumping back in shock

'i know who is here with me' i rush through the mind link to john

'who?' i hear him question

'my mother'

'but she's dead'

'yea I thought so too but I am staring at her body still very much alive' i comment back

'i suggest you get back to your room, the meeting is just finishing' i hear john all but yell through the mind link, I slowly walk out of the door and close it and run as fast as I can back to my hospital room.

"where have you been missy" I hear my fathers sickening voice question

"needed to take a walk to clear my head" I smile out making him shake his head

"Please, I know you saw your mother" he growls out before backing me into a corner

"Sir, please think about this" I mumble, I learned a long time ago to not call him my father

'red, red, red' i scream at john though the link before focusing on my dad again

"I know what I am doing, you don't deserve my spot on the table, I might as well take you out of it" he mumbles before grabbing my throat, I cry out in pain but I know it is useless. eventually, john barges through the door which makes my father drop me.

I grab my throat and try and massage it to take the pain away but no luck, by the time I look up again I notice it is only john and me in the room

"What happened?" john questions before helping me back to my bed

"I rushed back to my room when you told me too but he was already here waiting for me, I bloody ran here and he was already waiting, I was a lost cause from the start and he knew i was in her room even though I said i wasn't" I comment before resting my head on the pillow

"We only have two months and we will be leading, that's what the meeting was. your father wasn't taking the news to well" john comments making me nod

"I want to know why he has kept my mother alive after he was the one who killed her, well tried to, the same reason the mating law was imposed" I comment making him nod

"It is very strange, but hopefully we will get answers soon, rest, I will stay in here for a bit" john kisses my cheek before sitting down

"thank you" I comment before falling asleep.
