Luan's Fear (Alternative Version of Lori's Redemption) (ON HIATUS)

Chapter Thirteen

As Carol Pringrey kept working, her mind went back to how she reacted when she learned what Lori did to her brother. At first she was outraged and shocked that someone who was envious of would do such a thing towards her sibling. Especially since that sibling wanted to apologize in his own special way instead of doing a double date...which to her knowledge the girl also didn't want to do so either.

But now...after hearing how everything was set up by Bobby...Lori's beloved boyfriend and how he cheated on her constantly made her conflicted. Mainly because she thought that Bobby loved Lori with all of his heart. Shaking her head..She slowly walked to check on Luan who was still sleeping. Not like she could blame her..after she was close to drowning thanks to Bobby. 

"Sigh...This whole situation makes my brain hurt." Carol said.

"Me too." A familiar voice said. Carol gasped and quickly turned around to see Lori..who was still in her prison clothes. She noted how Lori's hair looked disheveled and that she wasn't wearing any makeup which wasn't surprising seeing how Luan busted her out of jail.

"Lori! You scared me." Carol said.

"Sorry about that. I've just been processing this whole situation that I've gotten out of." Lori said.

"I can't blame you. Especially since you've been set up by Bobby of all people." Carol said.

"I was surprised too. I honestly thought that Bobby cared about me and that he would always have my best interests in heart. But after seeing him almost kill Luan and learned that he threatened his little sister to be apart of this..really makes me reconsider how I fall for boys." Lori said.

"So..Are you still together with him?" Carol asked.

"No. Why would I..When he almost made me kill my little brother and my sister for money? Besides I'm still reeling from what I experienced in the county jail...especially when I was alone with Big Boss." Lori said as she shook.

"Listen Lori...You don't need to tell us anything until you're ready besides Luan should be waking up soon." Carol said.

"Thanks Carol. At least I still have you and the girls...hopefully in the future I can look past this, but I doubt it" Lori said.

"Hey...Don't beat yourself up Lori. You didn't know that this was going to happen." Carol said.

"But I had a chance to end this relationship earlier." Lori said.

"What do you..." Carol said before Lori cut her off.

"I knew that Bobby was cheating on me...way before this ever happened. But I was so love struck that I pretended that it was a mistake...that Bobby loved me with all of his heart. Only for it to keep happening over and over again in an endless cycle." Lori said.

"Lori...If you did break up with him then he would just do this to another girl. Could you imagine how much pain he would've caused her family if his plan didn't get stopped. What you did managed to stop a conspiracy that would've taken the lives of other girls in Royal Woods or in another part of the world. Believe it or not..You're a hero." Carol said before she went to check on other patients leaving Lori behind with Luan.

Lori slowly looked at Luan and sat next to her...slowly falling asleep while grabbing her hand. Unaware that Luan's finger twitched and that her face scrunched up for a while until she went completely still.
