chapter 4.

"So Bethany, what's your favourite colour?" Kyler asks.

Oh God. I can't do this. No way.
"Um Kyle I have to go. Am sorry. Bye." I say and run out of Starbucks as fast as i can.

"Bethh wait! Are you okay?" Kyler shouts loudly.

I don't look back and i keep running. I reached at the end of the Street. I look back to check if Kyler is following me or not.

Thankfully, he isn't following me. I slow my pace and walk slowly.

I reach home feeling exhausted, and i want nothing more than 6 hours of sleep.

I take a quick shower, wear my fluffy cloud pants and socks and get ready for bed.

As I lay on my bed, i hear a ding sound from my phone.
Who could be texting me at this unusual time?

I unlock my phone and I see that there is a message from an unknown number. I click the message, and it's written
"Hey Bethany, are you okay? Today you scared the hell outta me.
Well... You might not even reply...  goodnight :)"

Umm what? Who's this? Oh great. It's Kyler. Now he probably thinks I'm crazy.

I didn't reply. I kept the phone and as soon as I closed my eyes, I was consumed in my dream Land.

"Beep beep beep beep beep!" What's that annoying noice?

Ah shit!!!! It's my alarm for school. Oh God I overslept again.
I rush to the bathroom and get dressed as fast as I can.

After reaching school with Trisha, I run as fast as I can to my geo class and i almost crashed on someone.

I apologise to however I almost got crashed with and enter geography class. I take my sit and look beside me and see that Kyler is sleeping.

What the hell? Why is he sleeping on the first period?

I kick on his feet and he jolt awake.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Kyle asks angrily.

Oops.

"Sorry sorry i don't mean to scare you but the class is starting so I thought I should wake you up." I blabber.

"Whatever, don't annoy me."
And he's back to his old grumpy self.

The sir enters the class and starts with his lecture. "So today I'm going to explain your Geo assignment. Please keep quiet and listen to me carefully. Your project is going to be about fossils. Finding fossils and observing them. The more unique fossils you find, you get your marks according to that. For the first 2 weeks, you will be doing research and you should learn everything about fossils. After that, you will be travelling to different places in search of fossils. You have to do all your works with your partner."

The sir goes on with more informations. But I can't pay attention anymore.

All I'm concerned about is how am I supposed to work with Kyler if he's being so weird with me.

"Hey Beth, am sorry about my behavior this morning. I wasn't feeling well so I got annoyed when you woke me up." Kyle says.

Wow. Is Kyler apologizing to me?
"It's okay Kyler, I also shouldn't have run away like that yesterday." I say

He gives me a small smile and pays attention to the class.

"Hey Kyler, do you want to join me and Trisha during lunch?" I ask politely.
"Um.. sorry Beth, I have to go home before lunch as am not feeling. Maybe another time?" He replies.

"Okay it's fine... By the way, you can text me anytime.." I say nervously.

"Sure. Catch ya later Bethany." He says.
