You know the feeling you get when know something is gonna happen and you can't stop it. That feeling of dread or irritation. That's how I feel every time I go to my fathers. If I could stay home and cut him out of my life completely I would. All I do at his house is watch tv, play on my phone, or walk around in the woods. I guess it's better than being at my moms all the time. She can be a bit over bearing at times. She doesn't know when to stop. "Are you sure you have everything baby?" My mom asks for the 3rd time in 10 minutes. "Yes mom, I'm fine I have everything." I take a deep breath and smile at her. She smiles back and kisses my head. She acts like I'm gonna be gone forever when I'm only gonna be gone for the weekend. I guess she has a right to act like that though. My sister and I stayed with my grandma for many years. About 4. I was 12 and my sister was 9. I hear the gravel from the driveway and look only to see my dads black car. I sigh and hug my mom. "I love you sweety, I'll see you in 2 days." My mom says and I nod in response. Me and my sister don't have the same dad, so she gets out of this crap. I open the back door and throw my stuff in and climb into the passenger seat. "Hi Jessie" my dad says with a smile. Gosh he looks rough. I smile and nod at him, then look down at my phone. I click on my best friends number and text him: Hey dick:) I'm gonna be at dads this weekend like always, I'll see you when I get back: I click send and he replies with and okay. When we pull up to my dads I step out and grab my bags. Look at this place. It's a wreck. I sigh as I look at the little dirty house and yard, careful that my dad couldn't hear. I walk to the door but before I step in I hear my name getting called. "Jessie?" I look over and see a girl. Not just any girl, but my ex best friend. I smile and start walking towards her. "Wow, it's been so long Jes, how are you?" I look up at her. She still has the same sweet smile. But her hair is way different with it being up in a bun and the whole undercut thing. It looks good on her. "I've been okay, and you?" She smiles once more and I notice her dimples I've loved before. "I've been good. I just moved back in with my mom." She said and pointed to her house. I nodded. I really wanted to hug her. I get closer to her and hug her without a word. Luckily she hugs me back without hesitation. I smile and back away. I've missed her. "Adria!" I hear a yell from the her house. "Oh shit, I gotta go. Hey, maybe we can hang later and catch up?" I nodded and smile even bigger "id love that." I say and she smiles and walks into her house. Well that was nice. I can't believe she is back. It tore me apart when she left and I know it tore her too. I stayed in the same spot almost hoping she'd come back, but she didn't so I dreadfully walked into my dads house. "You look just like your mother" I hear as soon as I walk in. I simply smile and plop into the couch. "So ur old friend is back huh? I've heard bad news about her." I look up at my father and give him a confused look. "Yeah you better watch out for her, she is a lesbian." He said with a disgusted face. Oops. Well he is never gonna know about me. I'm not a lesbian, but I am bi. I might as well be gay though. All I go for is chicks. I have every dude at school wrapped around my finger but I want girls. "I'm gonna go outside..." I say and throw my hoodie on. When I make it out side I walk down to the old swing set and sit down. I look down at the ground and sigh. "Why can't people just not judge people?" I say aloud to myself. "I don't know man but it's pretty annoying." I hear from behind me. I look behind me and see her. "Mind if I sit?" She asked and I nodded with a little smile. She sits in the swing next to me and looks at me. "I really missed you Jessie." The way her voice sounded so real so genuine. Her words made me blush for no particular reason. "Yeah I really missed you too Adrian." I say with a deep sigh. I look up at her and notice how much she changed. Her skin was smooth and pretty, her lips were bigger and plump, and her jawline was a lot more pronoun. But her eyes haven't changed. They are still the gorgeous green that they used to be. I must've got caught staring cause she cleared her through and smiled. "You liking what you see?" She said with a giggle. I look away and smile with a lot of blush. "So you busy tomorrow?" I ask without even thinking. What even would we do? She looked up and pretended to think long and hard. "Maybe, if my mom don't need me." I nod at her reply. She puts her hand on my shoulder sending chills where she touched me. She turned me towards her and hugged me really tight. I hugged her back just as tight. When we were younger we used to have hug wars like this but times ten. We would be almost suffocated before we let go of each other. "I can't believe your back Adrian, I really missed you so much." I say and sigh. She pulls away and smiles big with her dimples. I was almost in awe. I smile back but I know mine doesn't even compare to hers. "Adria!" I hear again. She sighs and hugs me one more time. "We should hang tomorrow." She says as she walks away. I watch her walk through the door and disappear.
