Chapter 7: Preparation for the Attack

Now it is preparation time. We have arrived at the castle and now we are going to go ahead and prepare for the attack. The king has ordered many knights to prepare with us and many people to evacuate the place immediately. we set ourselves in front of the castle in a line waiting for at least a single attack. I see a orange flame coming for us at fast speeds. It came close and I immediately dodged it. I see 10 people flying and coming towards us. 

"Now!" I yell

Every fires there bows at them and my fellow souls fire there powers at them it hits the units but all the grims dodged them. This was going to be hard. Not only are we to fight against the grims but we also have to fight against the slaves and gray, white and red demons. 

"Alright guys good luck," I say running towards them

I see the demon in front coming towards me and with a slash i defeat it. I see my brother running towards me like he was aiming for me. Behind him was another demon who was just weaker than Zeldrin. We both jump and land hits with our swords. We slashed them together and drop down. 

"Long time no see brother," I say

"You are no brother to me, You are nothing but a traitor" Zeldrin says back

"Thing is that you never usually call me traitor until no.." I stop

He swings at me and i dodge luckily behind was his partner Estaros who charged at me. I teleport behind Zeldrin and hold him while Estaros hits him. But Zeldrin elbows me and brings me in front making Estaros lay a big hit on my stomach. That made me fly away so far. I got back up and run straight towards them but this time using my demon mark. This makes me more powerful than usual. I teleport behind Estaros and kick him towards Zeldrin. Zeldrin dodges it but he was distracted by that so I stabbed him with my swords destroying one of his hearts. He started puking blood so i back away to let him recover. 

"I didn't want to do this brother, Because of that you made do it." I say

"I don't care if I made you do it, I'm making you do it because i want to kill you for the demon kingdom"

The demon mark starts appearing on his head. This was bad. I can deal with this but bat thing is that Estaros changed form into a different person to get stronger. The other souls are in trouble too. After i defeat him i will go help them. Estaros and Zeldrin both go for the hit and i stop them. Blocking Estaros's hit with my hand and Zeldrin's stab with my sword. I push them back and teleport behind Zeldrin we both start swinging and blocking when Estaros charges at both of us. Me being truly aware while Zeldrin is not. I swing so he blocks it. Then i punch him hard enough for him to go flying even if he blocks. I hit him and he hits Estaros and they both go flying. 

"Do you still want to fight Zeldrin?" I ask

"I will not stop until you die" He responds changing forms. 

I start to remember that we all have forms but because i can't i have a curse that makes me like this forever. They both charge at me giving me swings but they were too powerful they beat me up. Hit after hit after hit. I was get too many scabs. I see Elise looking from the top of the wall. I go and close my eyes as i see Estaros getting 6 knives to impale all of my hearts to kill me once and for all. Wait why am i not dying. I open my eyes to see Elise over me smiling. She falls with 6 knives at the back crying in pain but smiling. 

"I did it for you Mantin, Because its me your girlfriend who you thought died." She says coughing out blood

Seeing her die again made me even more angrier than before. I let out all my anger with a dark ocean of demon anger. They see me changing forms into a older more adult looking man. 

"Impossible, You have the curse, How are you changing?" Zeldrin says

"You killed someone very important to me, Anyone who does that will die no matter what," I say in anger. 

I charge in knocking Estaros to the ground, I spawn 6 knives of my own and stab all of them on every heart he had. Estaros started to smile saying 'You really don't remember me don't you' and he closes his eyes. 

"Y..you killed your second brother" Zeldrin says

"If it means saving the kingdom then im glad i did it" I say back

"You Monster!" He says charging at me with full force.

I teleport behind him just in time to grab him. 

"He made me do it," I whisper in Zeldrins ear.

I grab his head next and smash his head on the ground. I throw him in the air and punch his face and he went flying through the air. I grab the 6 knives i had and begin to throw them to him. every knife that was put on him gave me flashbacks of me and Elise. all 6 knives successfully went in through his 6 hearts. he stands up looking at me and smiling.

"So you did kill me huh, I'll be honest I knew you were going to kill me, I only fought you so when you die you come back to life as a demon," He says as his words then falling to the ground. 

I run back to Elise and take all the knives out to see her dead. I shout with anger making all the other grims come to me. Everyone did, the grims and the souls. Grims ran away seeing 2 of there most powerful commanders dead on the ground. The souls were shocked to see me as an adult. But they also saw why i was shouting. They see Elise dead in my hands. A massive thunder storm arrives but any normal one. The clouds were red and dark meaning that something big was coming. I let Elise go and prepare for the next attack.
