It was the first day of work after the weekend. And Taimur had raised hell in the office. No one in the company had a clue about what was wrong with him that day. He was yelling on every person who entered his cabin. Even his associates Riyadh and Ahmed were unable to calm him down. Eva didn't even dare to enter his cabin. She knew she was his prime target. And she was trying to avoid the encounter as much as she could.

But as it is, one can't avoid the obvious. Two hours had passed since he came into the office and it was time for his coffee. She went into the pantry with a heavy heart and started brewing his coffee. She tried to calm herself. "Get a grip girl, he won't eat you". She scolded herself. She had never let anyone dominate her in life. She had dealt with dangerous criminals in the past, but no one ever had intimidated her in a way this man did. She poured the coffee in the mug from the coffee maker and headed towards his cabin. She prayed to God to keep her safe from the devil.

She entered his office and strolled towards his desk. He was looking at her with eyes filled with anger. Eva avoided eye contact with him. But she could feel his gaze fixed on her. She placed the mug and turned to leave when she heard his voice, "Ms. Smith, I didn't know you were so disgusted with me, that you didn't even bother to meet my mother before you left".

His words froze her on the spot. So this was the reason why he was in such a bad mood since morning. Because she hadn't informed him or his mother before leaving the celebration. Eva felt sudden guilt. It was her duty to inform her host of her departure. It was etiquette and  after the revelation that she desired this man, she had not even bothered to bid farewell to her host.

He left his seat and came and stood in front of her. She was standing there with her gaze fixed on her feet and rubbing her palms. All she could do was regret her actions now. He placed his hand below her chin and raised her head. The blue pools were filled with tears. Tears of regret, tears of the hopelessness of her situation. One tear rolled out of her eye on her cheek. He was watching each and every expression of her features keenly. He wiped her tears with the fingers of his other hand, gently.

He stood there in the same position for some time looking at her and said in a voice she could barely hear."Leave, before I strangulate you". Eva looked up at him but he had walked away from her. She hurried out of his office and headed straight towards the restrooms. She sat there in a stall crying her eyes out for nearly an hour. She decided she could not continue this operation anymore. And she would inform Stevens and Aalam she was quitting this job.

Everyone including the two grumpy secretaries had noticed her absent-mindedness on that day. Mustafa even complained aloud when she typed the wrong letter. "Is everything okay with you?, You don't look like yourself today?" He said annoyed. "First His Royal Highness raised hell and now you are acting like someone is making you work on gunpoint," Mustafa added. She ignored him completely and started correcting the errors in the letter.

It was the first time in her life she was not able to understand her emotions. She had made a decision of quitting that operation, then why was her heart aching as if someone had squeezed the life out of it. "Why was she not content with her decision?" She thought painfully. Why on Earth did I agree to this task? Why didn't she declined it when she had a chance. "Why was she so ill-fated were the matters of the heart were involved?".

She didn't know how she spent that day in the office. It was like walking on burning coal barefoot. Once she was back in the privacy of her apartment she cried once again. She never cried in her life in this way not even on the death of Robb. She didn't know after how much time she was able to calm herself. She took out the cell given to her by the Interpol and dialed Aalam's number. She was reporting to him directly on this operation. After a few rings, he received the call. She started the conversation with the usual greetings, he inquired after her health and told her, that he was about to call her.

"One of our operatives was able to extract this information that there is going to be a meeting between the top management of RRH. It will be next month and the venue is the Al Jahaan farmhouse in a remote town of Azmaayir". Aalam shared the news excitedly. "We are very close to our operation Ms. Smith". He added.

" I am sorry Mr. Aalam but I will have to quit. I cannot carry on this operation". She said taking a deep breath. Aalam couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Ms. Smith you cannot quit when we are so close to our goal". He said emphasizing each word. "And don't forget you have to avenge your fiancee". He reminded her about Robb.

"I can't, I don't think I am capable of this task!!!" She replied with guilt. She knew she was insulting the memory of Robb. He deserved better. How could she fall for the man who had killed the person who was the love of her life once? She hated herself for it. She didn't have any right to stay alive. How possibly could she look herself in the eye?

"Please, Eva you can't quit now, we are depending on you to accompany Taimur Jahaan to this meeting. We need you to be present there. And as our other operatives have informed about you being able to successfully luring Taimur in the trap. Let me tell you no women operatives were able to make the progress which you have made so far". He was pleading her to reconsider her decision.

Eva was caught in a battle within herself. One part of her was longing to stay with Taimur and her other half was hating her for the betrayal to Robb's memory. Aalam and Steven were pressuring her to stay. She couldn't tell them how fucked up her life was right now.

Finally, after their insistence to continue with her mission, she made a decision she will acquire and give them the information and evidence they needed and quit this fucking job and go back to being an archeologist. With no sexy Billionaire's and their charm.

She continued with her job as his secretary. Performing the work assigned to her. Taimur was completely ignoring her as nothing happened between them. She spent her days typing emails, dispatching letters, taking dictation and brewing coffee.
Taimur's behavior was cold towards her, just addressing her for work-related issues. Sometimes when she was taking dictation from him she could feel he was staring her. But she would keep her head lower pretending as if she didn't notice, and avoiding eye contact with him completely.
