Chapter 4: Rain Rain Go Away

Lectrix just saw her put her headphones on, but didn’t know how to react. Looks like she’s either gotta leave it be or find something to do. Right when Hafwen puts on the pair of headphones, she gets up and casually walks off to a tree.

Hafwen felt her movements so this caused her to perk her head up and tilting it a bit.Curious on what Lectrix is about to do.

She got rid one of her earphones,furrowing her eyebrows 'Did i do something wrong or-' She thought to herself.

Lectrix takes one look up the tree, then back at Hafwen with that smile again. Lectrix takes a bend, and jumps up and grabs onto one of the branches of the tree. She hoists herself over and lays on it.

Hafwen's eyes widened at what Lectrix was doing right now.She stood up and went near the tree.It seems that she wanted to join. "May I have permission to enter your territory,your highness?" She jokingly said.

"Pft, what’s with the royalty remark? She lays up, scooting over a bit to give Hafwen some room "There you go! Need help getting up?"

"ppfft me? I'm a wild cat, of course i don't need help climbing up." She began climbing the tree before sitting beside her "Lets just hope this tree branch won't break."

"I don’t think it’ll break on us. Should’ve heard a snap by now somewhere on this old thing." She leans against the stump of the tree. Her back facing the rest of the tree as she faced Hafwen.

"Fair point." She said while looking down. "This is a nice spot to take a nap and be awoken by falling to your death." She chuckled while swaying her legs a little.

"Quite the dark mind you have there." Her body leans a bit more against the tree "What time do you wanna get back to class though? First period ends in about—" she checks her watch "35 minutes. We already killed about 20."

Hafwen looks at her watch as well and then looks around. "I dunno,I'm not coming back till lunch tho." She said before hopping off the tree.

"What’s it gonna take for me to convince you then? I don’t wanna leave you here all alone while I go back."

"It's alright,I'm an outcast remember?" She laughed. "I don't even know if there's something that'll convince me at all."

"Uh, food? I have money. How about a quick snack or drink before we head on back?" Hopefully this convinces her. Lectrix knows she has a good clutch with teachers, but she gets paranoid every so often about it.

Hafwen chuckled and looked up at Lectrix who's still on the tree. "Pfft I know your family is wealthy but I have money too yknow.I can treat myself." She went to the benches where their bags are and grabbed hers. "buuut,since i got nothing else to do.Let's go back then."

She eventually hopped off and dusted the back of her pants. Just in case there was any small pieces of wood chopping left.  "Ah, looks like I’ve convinced you then."

"pfft sure whatever,let's hurry up.We got like 10 mins le--" The edgy white-haired girl felt a water drip on her nose.She was confused at first till she finally looks up.It was raining. "This'll help I guess-" She said before grabbing Lectrix's bag too and giving it to her before grabbing her hand and starts running off with her.She didn't even mind about the hand thing at all.

Lectrix was a little surprised by Hafwen suddenly grabbing her hand. She would’ve just expected for her to tell it was raining. Then that would be the end of it. But here they were. Holding hands in the middle of running from the rain "Well, I guess the rain gave a change of plans on grabbing a quick bite-"

"Yeah true.Maybe next time yeah?" She yelled out while running.They came back to school quickly since both of them ran fast but of course.It was raining hard so they're hella soaked.

"Oh were early huh." Hafwen looks around,she looks at the time then down at their hands still holding so she quickly let go,right on time she did, the bell rang and students began rushing at the hallways.

"Welp I'll see you around next time,orr later." Hafwen waved before walking off to her next class.

"I’ll see you later too." She waved back, and saw Nixon right beside her just right after that

Nixon : "The hell took you so god damn long!?"

"Just some quick catching up. Her and I get along pretty well. Of course, after I told her that I you and I weren’t like everyone else we’re around with most of the time."

Nixon : "That’s great. Also, no need to worry. We had a sub today. So I told em’ that you were helping out drama and they didn’t mark ya absent. Collected your essay too."

After a whole while of a couple more periods, it was now lunch. Right as soon as the bell rang after 4th period, ever single classroom door burst open with everyone rushing to the indoor quad

The librarian forbids the students to eat in the library so usually they'd eat first before going back into their favorite spot.

"Soooo how was your little date ehh?" Ignatia smirked while nudging her elbow at Hafwen.

"It wasn't a date if she would've told me.Didn't you remember? I moved on already.We're just good friends,thats it." Hafwen said and sat on the chair.

"Pfft.Lets make it more than friends." Ignatia added.

"Ignatia lets just play some fucking dnd."
