Chapter 7: Good Boy

Hafwen looked at the house in awe,she really is gonna visit her house,now she can visit her anytime. "So what should we do?"

"Well uh, my mom’s at work. That leaves us with a free space to roam in. And a dog." Lectrix smiles "He’s friendly, so don’t worry."

Hafwen's imaginary tail stood up,she hated dogs so she was shookt "o-OHHH okay okay cool cool cool"

"You alright there? I’ve never heard that type of response before when people see my dog—" Lectrix says, while stepping up towards the small row of stairs.

"What? yEAH i'm good i'm good.I love dogs! t-they're cute!" Hafwen chuckled nervously and just waited there.

Lectrix looked at Hafwen, then back at the door. It was evident that there was something waiting behind there. She took her keys out, and jangled them a bit. A small woof was heard behind the door. She opens it, and then gently pushes the door open. Revealing a huge black German Shepard. Which ran out to greet both her and Hafwen

"Heyyy, buddy! Did ya miss me? She laughs while giving the dog an infinite amount of rubs.

Hafwen was already a distance away from them.She's not actually a dog person because mostly,dogs would bark on her. "Oh my god,he's cute!" she yelled at the distance.

"His name’s Salem!" She gestured her head over to her right, to get Hafwen to walk  over and introduce herself to the large friendly dog.

Hafwen sighed and walked towards them. "time to die.." she whispered to herself,as she went in front of Salem,she'd just placed her hand on his head.She was surprised he didn't try to bite her so she began petting him.

Salem sniffed her hand. Just to familiarize with her scent. She accepted her, and his tail began to wag

Lectrix gives a smile "See, he loves you! You’re in his trustful circle now".

Hafwen laughed,glancing at her then at Salem,her imaginary tail is also wagging. "You're so lucky you have a dog.Bet it makes you less lonely in the house huh?"

She sighs "Yeah. I mean my mom comes home around like 9 or 10 from work. So it helps ease the emptiness of the house. It just gives me a lot of time to blast music though." She chuckles "Salem and I enjoy it a bit."

Hafwen made that 'oh' face and continued to rub Salem's head till she finally stopped and stood up straight.

Lectrix stood up as well, while Salem ran back inside into the living room "Okay well, this is my house. I’m pretty sure you have full permission to enter into my domain now." She says, in a jokingly matter.

Hafwen chuckled and just bowed dramatically "Why thank you,you're highness." She laughed like a fucking dork she is.

"Wh- that laugh! It’s so cute, awww." Lectrix just realized what she said. But she couldn’t take it back. She just let it be and awaited for a response "Sorry- too forward?"

Hafwen blinked a couple times while she lightly blushed.She just played it off with a smirk "Nah its fine,but shhh." She said before walking inside the house. Lectrix lead her to her room upstairs while Hafwen looks around the pictures on the wall.

"Pft, okay then. Anyway, here’s the place I sleep, eat, and release emotions when no one is looking." She pauses "May have been a bit too much. Uhh, oh- want something to drink or eat?"

Hafwen shook her head. "Nah I'm good. Just here to chill, that's it." she says then looks down at Salem.

Salem pushes his head against Hafwen’s leg. Craving for more attention while his tail wags. 

"Well, I can see Salem already takes a liking to you." Lectrix says, as she chuckles while walking over behind Hafwen to close the door.

Hafwen smiled a bit before leaning down to ruffle Salem's head "Thought he'd bite my ass off." she joked and dropped her bag before looking around the room. "So it's just you and your cousin living here?"

”Yeah, pretty much. Nixon wanted to move in because he wanted to go to school here. And his dad’s house is far. So my mom and him came to an agreement that Nixon could stay over and such. If it meant he’d be happy." Lectrix Plopped onto her bed. Salem follows up and completely crushes her. "UGH—"

Hafwen got rid of her coat and placed it over her bag. She then heard Lectrix making a sound. Hafwen quickly turned her head to where Lectrix is. "Oh." She snorted and sat on the edge of the bed. "Thought something happened."

"Nope— just my dog thinking I’m his own bean bag." She says, while struggling to breathe. "Alright bud, off." She commands.

Salem does as told. He sits back onto the floor. But then sees his bed. So he makes his way toward it and lays on it.

"I’m a little tired if I’m being honest with ya’. I had 3 tests today and it’s such an unfortunate thing that it had to be three subjects I don’t really like. Well, actually only one of them is a subject I like." she turns to where he pillow is. And brings it along with her as she turns back towards where Hafwen is facing.

Hafwen glanced at her then back at Salem, leaning forward while resting her forearms onto her legs. "Feels bad, amigo." she chuckled. "I'm just chill when it comes to those. Sometimes I'm... Meh." she shrugged before looking at Lectrix. "So. What to do?"

"Well we can watch a movie in the li—" she pauses. The door downstairs was being unlocked with keys. It opens, and a voice is heard calling "Lectrix, are you home?!" out from the living room. It was Lectrix’s mother.

"Crap— I didn’t think she’d be home till 9 tonight." She sighs, turning to  Hafwen while sitting up. "I hope you’re ready to meet my mom." she chuckles.
