I was suddenly taken out of my dream state when I heard a bunch of horns blaring right behind me.

"Hey idiot! Are you gonna move out of my way or am I gonna have to run you and your girlfriend over!!!" Some dude yelled at me from a mini-van behind me. Talk about major road rage.

Immediately I got her safely into the back seat of my Jeep and began the twenty minute drive towards the hospital. I was still trying to process everything that had happened in the last ten minutes. Ok...so ten minutes ago I was stuck in the usual NYC traffic then suddenly...She just had to fall in front of my car... She just had to walk into my life at that moment...My life is definitley not the same as it was a good ten minutes ago. I took a glimpse at her through my rearview mirror. She still looked beautiful sleeping... She was the most beautiful girl that I have ever seen... Yet again every single girl that I would run into was beautiful in my eyes...But there was something about her beauty that made her stand out. She was special there was no denying that. I just hope that she finds me just as special.

It was about an hour later. I was in the emergency room awaiting to find out any news on her. To see if she was doing OK. I was taken out of my thoughts when I noticed that my phone was ringing.

"Jerome where the hell are you? We were supposed to meet to study for our political midterms tonight?!" I immediately began to mentally punch myself in the head.

"Look Zoe I'm so sorry... Something has come up..." I explained.

"You know that's your excuse for every single thing..If you fail our political science it's your problem..." Zoe said.

Zoe Drake was one of my first childhood best friends. Besides the fact that she was best friends with my twin sister, she and I got along quite well together. We would always have study groups together and we would always help each other in school. I helped her with science and she helped me in math. We were like the perfect team. She even decided she wanted to be a family lawyer just because she wanted to be in the same classes as me in college. But she's finally warming up to the idea of being a lawyer which was good.

The only thing about our friendship is, if Zoe was to make any sort of plan ahead of time I would always forget about them and not show up. For example, I've never been to one of her birthdays, graduation parties, any important life event of hers I was never there to celebrate it with her. I always found a way to make it up to her a week after the event by going to the local pizzeria. Zoe on the other hand was always there for every single milestone. Even if she wasn't invited. Yet again I shared most of my milestones with my twin sister so maybe that's why she was always there.

"Zoe look this is seriously something unexpected" I explained.

"Like I haven't heard that excuse before..." Zoe snorted.

"You know what it's your choice if you want to believe me or not...I'll see you tomorrow..." I said as I hung up.

I sighed as I rested my head against the hard wall that was behind me. As I was about to close my eyes, I noticed that the doctor that had taken care of the girl I brought in had emerged from the emergency room.

"How is she?" I asked.

"She suffered a major concussion so that will take a lot of time to heal. And she also has a sprained ankle which should take a couple of weeks to heal. She was really lucky that she didn't fracture her ankle. I assume that the snow must have saved her...She's asleep right now so I don't think she will be up until tomorrow morning at least." He said walking away.

OK so she was safe. That was the best news I heard all week. It was nice to know that there was still some good news out there. As I was about to leave the hospital, I had felt a strong sense of longing to see that girl again. I turned around and was glad to see that her doctor was still behind the nurses desk.

"Dr. Sorry to interupt would it be OK if I went up there and talked to her myself, I just want to make sure she is OK.." I stated.

"I don't see why not? She's in room 1503." He said as he walked away to continue doing his rounds around the hospital.

I thanked him as I made my way towards the elevators. Something in the back of my mind kept on reminding me that it was weird to be in this hospital room. But my heart was continuously telling me that I needed to see her again. As I opened the doors to her room I couldn't help but smile. There she was sleeping peacefully.

"Hi there... Um I'm really glad that your doing OK..." I said as I began talking to her. "I know you have no idea who I am and under normal circumstances this would be pretty weird. But there is just something about you..." I said as I took a look at her once again. "There is just something about you that makes me want to keep you in my life.. " I sighed. "I know its crazy and maybe it is....But before you came into my life I didn't believe in true love...But the first time I laid eyes on you I knew for a fact that true love isn't only for the believers. Its for everyone, they just need to wait for the right person. And you are the right person for me...You just don't know it yet..."

I stopped in mid sentence. Her eyes looked like they were about to open...Oh god...Did she just hear everything I said to her? Oh this is not going to end well... Sure enough chocolate brown eyes made contact with my piercing black eyes...I thought her face was beautiful...But those eyes...They were another level of beauty I didn't know existed.

"Where am I?" She began to ask me.

"Um miss your in New York City general hospital. You had a fall earlier tonight so I brought you here." I began to explain.

"Who are you? Are you my doctor?" She asked.

"Nope. I'm just a regular New York City guy..." I laughed. "My question is who are you?"

"I don't know..." She said sort of scared.

"What?" I said laughing thinking that she was making some joke.

"I have absolutely no idea who I am..." She said scared. "Who am I?"

"Wait...you seriously can't remember your name?" I asked seriously.

She shook her head. OK this situation just got a lot more serious.
