The next morning I made sure that I was the first visitor to the hospital. Dr. Pillings said that the chick I brought in was able to be released today. I had spent the entire night last night getting the guest bedroom presentable. I was so excited... The girl of my dreams was finally moving in with me... Ok maybe I'm jumping way too ahead into the future. I probably needed to get to know her first. As I walked into her hospital room I found her flipping through various channels on the television.
"Morning how you doing?" She acknowledged me...She actually acknowledged me!
"I'm doing good how are you feeling?" I said as I sat in one of the hard plastic chairs beside her hospital bed.
"I'm feeling a lot better. My body still aches all over the place though..." She laughed as she paused on one TV show. "Oh I just watched this amazing TV show last night I can't get enough of it." I turned to the TV and couldn't help but smile.
"Your a fan of The Flash!!!!" I exclaimed with excitement. "I love that TV show. You know growing up I always used to dress up as him on Halloween." I laughed remembering my childhood.
"I love all the action and suspense it really gives you an adrenaline rush..." She replied.
"You know I have a stack of comic books at my place I should show them to you when we get there!" I said excitedly.
"I'm heading over to your place?" She asked me.
"Oh right. I decided that since I'm basically the only friend that you have around here I would help you navigate this huge city..." I explained. "It's hard for someone to make it on their own in a city as lively and sometimes dangerous."
"That's very nice of you thank you very much..." She smiled up at me.
"Now first things first...We need to give you an actual name..." I said as I began thinking.
"Don't I already have a name?" She asked me.
"It's only a temporary name...Until you get your memory back..." I replied.
"Oh that makes more sense..." She said as she turned her attention back to the show. "Any names that you can come up with at the moment?"
"Well I have one name that I always liked...How does Laurel sound?" I asked.
"Nah that sounds too girly..." She laughed.
"Nadine?" I asked her as I continued to pitch her various names.
"Too dorky..." She laughed.
"Well do you have any suggestions?" I asked getting a little agitated.
"Well I always wanted to be a Princess...You know like the ones from Disney..."
"Wait a minute...what about the name Princess?" I suggested.
" I like it..." Princess smiled. "Good thinking Joaquin..." She smiled.
"Its Johnathan..." I laughed.
"Hey can I ask you something?" Princess asked me.
"Sure what's up?" I asked.
"Would it be OK if I called you Johnny?" Princess asked me innocently. A small frown made its way on my face. "Wait do you not want me to? If its a problem I won't call you Johnny..."
"No its not a problem..." I replied.
"Then why do you look so sad all of a sudden?" Princess asked me.
"I'm sorry its just that my mom is the only person who calls me Johnny well besides you...And...my moms really sick right now..." I explained.
"I'm so sorry is she going to be OK?" Princess asked me.
