"Dr oh thank god your still here?" I said joyfully.

"What's the matter? Is there something wrong with the chick you brought in?" Dr.Pilings asked.

"Yes she's awake..." I began.

"Oh that's great news!" Dr. Pilings began.

"Would you just let me finish!" I said quite annoyed.

"OK go on..." He sighed.

"That concussion you were talking about...I think its definitely a lot more severe." I stated.

"What makes you say that?" He asked me.

"She has no idea who she is...I don't think she has any memory at all." I said.

"Oh then this might be a lot more than a concussion..." Dr. Pilings said making his way towards her hospital room.

"Do you think she will ever get her memory back?" I asked him.

"Honestly I can't give you a straight answer right now..." Dr. Pilings said. "I might need to run more tests on her to see if she has any memory about who she is." He explained. "Depending on how well she responds to these tests we will definitely go from there." He said opening the door. I followed him inside I needed to know if she had any memory at all.

"Hi there. Jerome told me you woke up a little early..." Dr. Pilings laughed.

"I guess so..." She replied.

"Anyways he also tells me that you are having problems remembering who you are." She nodded. "Do you mind if I asked you a couple of questions?"

"Sure..." She nodded.

"OK can you tell me why you are here in the city?" Dr. Pillings asked.

"No..." She said.

"Do you know how old you are?" He asked her.

"No..." She said sounding scared.

"Do you have a mother or father?" He asked.

"I don't know..." She whispered.

"OK I think we've done enough for today. Thank you for your time miss." Dr. Pilings said exiting her room.

"Wait doc.. " she stopped him.

"Yes..." he said stepping back into her hospital room.

"Do you think I will get my memory back?" She asked.

"In time I think you will eventually remember everything." He explained. "Don't lose hope..." He said exiting her hospital room.

"Is it bad?" I asked him outside her hospital room.

"Its definitely a case of amnesia..." He told me.

"How long do you think its gonna be until she gets her memories back?" I asked him.

"Well its hard to tell. A lot of people with amnesia will get their memories back within various time periods...Some states of amnesia will last as short as a couple of weeks...meanwhile others will last for a number of years." He told me.

"But she will get her memory back eventually right?" I asked him.

"Like I told her she will definitely have her memory back eventually." He said leaving to do his rounds.

As I looked at my watch I realized that it was 8:30 at night. I decided that I should probably head home. As I made my way home I couldn't help but think of her once again. Every single second I knew that I was falling more and more in love with her.

The minute I walked into the cozy 11th floor apartment I saw Prince leaned over a bunch of textbooks.

"There you are! I was getting hungry..." He complained taking the bags of Chipotle. "Oh where's the tree?"

"Don't worry..." I said opening pur door to reveal our new 5 foot tree. "Now help me bring it in!" I said laughing.

"You don't have to tell me twice." Prince said excitedly grabbing the other end of tree. "Where did you go anyways you were gone for a long time."

"I met a girl..." I said.

"Of course you did." Prince laughed.

"But she's different from the other ones...." I smiled.

"How so?" Prince asked me.

"OK why don't we sit down to enjoy our food for this explanation because it's a long one." I said as I went to warm up our food.

"So tell me about her." Prince said as we began eating.

"Well to begin with let's start off with how we met. She slipped on ice and fell hard on the road in front of my car."

"Wait seriously?" He said shocked.

"Yup. So I couldn't just leave her there so I brought her over to the hospital. And it turns out she has amnesia." I said wrapping up the story.

"Wow...Wait why is she different from all the others?" Prince asked me.

"Because I've never felt this way about any other girl before...She makes my heart beat a million times a minute every time I lay my eyes on her. I can't stop thinking about her either. Literally I've been thinking about her every single second for the few hours that I've known her. She finally made me believe that true love really isn't made up and that she came into my life because I was supposed to fall in love with her...So that's why she's different."

"Wow you've fallen for her haven't you?" Prince said shocked.

"I have...And I don't think I can ever stop falling for her..."

"Jerome don't you think your thinking a little too ahead? I mean we have no idea who this chick is... I mean what if she's the daughter of a hit man? We could be shot dead while we're asleep..." Prince stated.

"Look she has no where else to go... We need to help her out. I mean thats the best we can do... I ran her over for crying out loud." I stated.

A plan began forming in my head. A plan that might sound crazy at first, but with a lot of hard work it could actually work...

"You want her to stay here?" Prince said shocked.

"Yes..." I replied. "She can stay on the sofa mattress and I can get her a job at the Dancing  Coffee Bean since I work there already.... And your family is loaded!!! We can use your credit card to buy her clothes! It will be perfect!" I smiled.

"The things you do for love...I don't get it..." Prince said leaving for his room.

I had the biggest smile on my face. I was finally going to get my chance at true love. And I promise that I am going to do whatever it takes for her to fall in love with me. That's one promise I intend to keep.
