Escaped

Jasper's POV

Bismuth had a lot of zombies after her, and it's not cause she's pretty.

I covered myself in blood and kinda ran out, I heard Lapis call me but I just ignored her and ran and shoved zombies down.

I made it outside and looked around, then looked at the radio we had been listening too.

I sighed "your a good sacrifice" I turned it on and only got static, I turned it all the way up and placed it inside a cabinet.

I looked and I saw everyone else coming down the stairs covered in blood, they saw me and I signaled for them to follow.

We had kinda made a train and I was pushing zombies out the way. I saw Bismuth sitting down holding her arm and I had to stop myself from yelling to her.

Instead I just let go of the train and ran to her, I crouched down infront of her "Bismuth....hey you okay" I whispered and she looked up at me.

"Are you bitten" I whispered trying to not sound panicked, she moved her hand and blood was running down her arm.

"I-"

I felt my heart, stomach, and just everything drop.

"Well I ain't leaving you" I lifted her up, she wasn't heavy it was like carrying three gallons of milk with one hand, only I was using two hands.

I went to the hill and everyone was there waiting, Lapis ran to me but stopped and looked at Bismuth.

"Is she...." Lapis's voice trailed off "I don't know but we need to go" I said upset and not wanting to think about it.

I saw Amethyst say something to Pearl and she shushed her, "something wrong you two" I asked looking at them.

Pearl did an awkward laugh "n-no why do you ask" she said rocking a bit, Opal stepped up "Pearl you're lying to us" she said sternly.

Pearl looked down and Amethyst grabbed her hand and stared at it, and looked at Pearl like she was asking for permission.

Pearl noded and Amethyst took her glove off and held Pearl's hand out showing a nasty ass crusty dusty looking bite mark.

Opal then ran to Pearl "when did this happen" she asked looking at the bite then to Pearl, "it's old" Amethyst stated blankly.

We all made a face it didn't get time to question it "Can we leave. now" Peridot said through her teeth.

"This isn't over Pearl" Opal said and stood up straight and began walking with Garnet.

I looked down at Bismuth who's been unconscious since I picked her up, we all walked away from the zombie filled house.

We found the road and began to walk down that road, the sun was shining bright and making it hot as fuck.

Lapis's POV

I looked over our group and we've got two bitten people one of them unable to walk and someone from and insane asylum.

This group is unstable, I looked down at Peridot who looked like she was about to die.

Peridot wasn't the most athletic person in the world, I walked infront of her "hop on" I pointed to my back.

She had to process it then hopped up and I swear she went to sleep, Peridot was not heavy.

She weighed about as much as a dozen eggs, I chuckled and kept walking most of the time forgetting she's there.

Garnet's POV

Opal was upset that Pearl hid this from her, and she does blame herself for Pearl getting bitten.

I'm trying to tell her to not be so hard on herself she keeps blaming herself anyway.

"I'm her older sister I'm supposed to take care of her" she said looking down at the road.

I took her hand "well at least Amethyst kept her from turning, right" I asked giving a small smile and she smiled back "....right".
