Chapter 27: Getting the Machine

All of Darkness's minions start attacking. They would be greatly outnumbered if it weren't for Jeremiah's duplicating power. Jeremiah briefly turns into a blob of blue slime and a bunch of slime shoots from his back all turning into duplicates of himself. Nic, Tiffany, and the Jeremiahs start fighting Darkness's minions. While the duplicates were busy distracting the forces of Darkness, the original Jeremiah uses Earthquake, a power that shakes the ground around them forming a fissure in front of him starting from the point he stomps at. He runs up to Nic and Tiffany.

"We have to get the machine," declares Jeremiah.

"Why?" asks Nic.

"What machine?" asks Tiffany.

"Darkness said it was legendary. It could help us with the weapon. Plus, if it really is as good as Darkness claims, we can't let him have it," says Jeremiah.

"Good point," says Nic.

"I'm confused," states Tiffany.

"We'll explain later," claims Jeremiah.

"How will we get to it?" asks Nic.

"Jump into that crater," says Jeremiah pointing to the nearest crater.

"Ok," says Nic.

They jump into the crater Jeremiah pointed at. Then, he shapeshifts his hands into a drill and started digging with them. Tiffany helps dig by using her psychic powers to move the rocks. Unbeknownst to them, Darkness follows them. A bit later, they find an old stone tablet.

"It's a tablet," observes Jeremiah as he picks it up.

"What does it say?" asks Nic.

"I don't know. It's written in ancient citaloanin," states Jeremiah.

"What is a Citaloanin?" asks Tiffany.

"The people who live on Planet Citalog. Everyone there has powers. It's also the source of my powers. I'll explain the details later," answers Jeremiah.

"Ok," replies Tiffany.

They dig deeper underground. They keep digging and digging until they finally find the legendary machine. Darkness finally confronts them.

"It's about time. Now, give me that machine and maybe your friend's deaths will be less gruesome," says Darkness.

They turn around and Jeremiah says, "I don't think so and I got one question for you."

"What?" asks Darkness.

"Did you follow us?" asks Jeremiah like an idiot.

"Well, duh. That was a very stupid question," answers Darkness.

"I know. And did you know my duplicates are a bomb waiting to happen?" inquires Jeremiah.

"Oh ha ha ha. Very funny," fake laughed an amused Darkness.

"I'm not joking. Go look up there if you don't believe me," claims Jeremiah.

"Fine."

He ventures back up there for a quick peek. Jeremiah yells, "NOW!" Then, all of the duplicates gather round in the center and activate Light Burst all at once combining into a giant Light Burst due to proximity. The original Jeremiah, Nic, and Tiffany get into the stealth ships before the explosion. Then, they left with the machine.
