Okay, I am just sick and tired of all the damn confusion between boy bands and bands!
I don't understand why One Direction (Yes. Them again.) get so much hate just because they don't play their own instruments!
Does it seriously matter if a band can play instruments or not?
Seriously? DOES IT?!
I went on a lyric video for 'Don't Stop' by 5SOS, and their was this person who literally commented these very words:
"I DON'T LIKE THIS BAND VERY MUCH BUT OMG I AM LIEK IN LUV WITH R5 AND THEY ARE LIKE SO MUCH BETTA DAN 1D CAUSE THEY LIEK DON'T PLAY THEIR OWN INSTRUMENTS AND 1D ARE SO FAKE SO THAT LIEK BASICALLY MAKES R5 BETTER IN LIEK A TOTALLY LOGICAL WAY GO R5!1!1!!!1!1!!"
Okay. So maybe they didn't comment those EXACT words. But, I guess it was something more along the lines of:
"Its a good song but im not that a big fan of them, but they're at least better 1D. 1D sucks up to girls and doesnt even bother playing instruments. Im a R5 fan"
To be honest, this is the difference:
Band: a group of people who perform instrumental or vocal music.
BoyBand: a vocal group consisting of young singers who do not play instruments.
SEE? THAT is the difference. Bands play instruments, boybands do not. So, don't go comparing 1D to 5SOS, The Vamps, or whatever, because they AREN'T THE SAME THING.
