Chapter 4: Inception

Alex: "You are going to follow my lead, everywhere we go!"

S Alex: "FUCK YOU!"

S Alex managed to slide under Alex and escape his grasp.

S Alex: "This future is broken..."

Alex: ?

S Alex: "We shouldn't be here..."

S Alex: "The Siders project marks the beginning of the end..."

Alex: "What the fuck are you talking about?"

S Alex: "I have a feeling, that uh... not everything is going to end up well; and we're the catalyst of it all."

Alex: "..."

Suddenly a van approached them both!
Armored men with black suits took S Alex... and shot Alex in the chest...

Alex: "Wh-what the hell just happened?!"

Out of nowhere, Animus revealed himself to Sider Alex...

Animus: "I believe we have come at a crossroads here..."

Alex: "Crossroads? What could you possibly mean by that?!"

Animus: "I take your sider with me, thus, not allowing you to return to him if the option were available to you."

Alex: "I just wanna know how the hell I was shot in the chest and survived..."

Animus: "You are definitely bleeding, however, the wound is only a mental type of damage... It exists but you don't directly feel it."

Alex: "Doesn't that mean that the damage I receive alternates between me and my Sider?"

Animus: "Yes, that is indeed correct."

Alex: "Son of a bitch. I will merge with my Sider and end it!"

Animus: "You won't be doing any of that because my game has merely just begun... and if you even think of ruining it...well, let's just say things won't go the way you want them to."

Alex: "I've got nothing to lose...might as well kill myself."

Animus: "That would be hilarious. But unfortunately you will not. We learned from your Sider that you're afraid of death; hence why you are here and was running away from a couple of people just a few moments ago..."

Alex: "..."

Animus: "And besides, you DO have something to lose!"

Alex: "I really don't."

Animus: "Your Ex-Girlfriend... Zayra."

Alex: !

Alex: "How THE HELL DO YOU KNOW THAT NAME!"

Animus: "It all comes from your Sider..."

Animus: "Long ago, I wanted to create a revolutionary thing... I wanted to make these...things. My project grew tiresome, and before I knew it, my friends and partners had left my side...no pun intended..."

Animus: "But now they'll learn, that I'm at my best when no one believes in me..."

Alex: "I didn't need to be a guinea pig for this DAMNIT!"

Animus: "Welp, you're the first clueless person I could inject so..."

Alex: *thinks* "But wait a second...doesn't he have a massive corporation? Why would he need a clueless person to inject when if he has a corporation he can just take anyone at will..."

Alex, being steps closer to a truth remains quiet throughout Animus' monologue...

Animus: "It's not like you're no person of interest...you're a 19 year old who doesn't know his parents, has a house, hacks stuff for a living...why would you fuck yourself up in a bar like that? When you're such a careful person?"

Alex: "None of your goddamn business."

Animus: "Time is ticking Mr. Reyes..."

Alex just laid in the ground trying to put the puzzle pieces together...
Animus had left in a hurry...

Meanwhile, the people that were chasing after Alex had come towards him...

?: "Alex right?"

??: "We heard that stuff about cloning and shit...y'know, Siders..."

Alex: "You know their existence? Great."

Alex: "So you're gonna whoop my ass for something I didn't do?"

?: "No, I want you to join me."

Alex: "Huh?"

??: "We run this group...uh, we like to call it the Revolts."

Alex: "What the fuck are ya? Anti-Siders or some shit?"

?: "Uh, yeah."

??: "We're only three so...we could use an extra pair of hands."

Alex: "If y'all help me get my Sider back...I'll gladly join..."

Alex: "Unless, your Anti-Sider rule applies to me: a person who hasn't done anything."

?: "It doesn't, just the Siders Project..."

Alex: "Alright, I'm in."
