Serene's Wish

Irene's POV

Seulgi looked at me straight into my eyes like saying I'm the prettiest girl in the world. I haven't been so close to her like these for such a long time and it just gives me so much feels.

"We don't have to do it. I can walk out in here right now." She said. Why is she being so nice like the old times..? Ughh She was about to walk out but then I held her arm and kissed her lips. Everyone got crazy for what I did but I even get crazier when she pulled me closer and deepened the kiss when I was about to pull out from our kiss. Shit, I felt so hot right now. I never thought how much I missed her lips. God, it's so addicting. We were almost out of breath when we stopped kissing and we soon realized that we are in front of a lot of people.

Everyone was like (⊙.☉)  (ὸ.ό)  (●.◉)  (⊙＿⊙')  (o_O) while Wendy and Joy was  (Ŏ艸Ŏ) (*・艸・). Serene on the otherhand was trying to remove the cover in her face. Oh my, I wish the earth will just eat me right now.

Then it took a minute for the emcee to say something. "Ohhhhh that was unexpected. Wow I don't think I can be able to move on easily after seeing that? Are you guys not in a relationship for real?"  Geez, her comment doesn't help us at all.

I immediately went back to my seat and soon Seulgi followed. After that, we just act like nothing happened but ommooo my heart was beating like crazy.

After the reception, everyone congratulated and wish a good luck for Wendy and Joy's honeymoon. Soon they left and it's only me, Serene and Seulgi. Serene really wanted Seulgi to teach her to draw so I just let that bear do whatever. We went to buy some materials but when we're coming back to the car, two random guys stood in front of us. Seulgi held Serene's hand and my hand and kept us behind her.

"Call the police now." Seulgi softly said.

"What the hell do you guys want?" She yelled.

"Just give us the kid and we wont hurt you." I was so surprised at what they said. Why are they going to take Serene? What are their motives?

"The kid...? You mean Serene. And what do you need from her?"

"You don't need to know Ms. Kang. Just hand her to us and we're good." What the heck, they knew her or maybe because she's an actress?

She chuckled. "I'm gonna die first before you can take her away from us." I squeezed her arm and looked at her worriedly.  My gosh, I dont think I'm ready to see her get hurt again and specially that this time she's protecting us. Then she gave her reassuring smile and said "Just keep on calling the police and cover Serene's eyes. Trust me. I'm not gonna let them touch you and her. Not until I'm cold." Gosh, my heart just melt with what she said.

"Mama, what's going on? Who are they and why did they say that they want me?" Serene asked. I really don't know what to say but thanks God Seulgi just jumped in.

"Serene" She softly said.

"Mommy Seulgi?"

"Yes, it's me...just be a good girl and don't remove mama's hand on your eyes okay. If you do that, then mommy Seulgi will stay a little bit longer here."

"For real?"

"Yes. So don't open your eyes until mama remove her hand okay?"

"Got it mommy." Then she stood up and gave me that smile again.

She stepped a little bit forward, a little bit farther but enough to protect us. Soon the action begun and man, my heart felt like exploding already. Seeing Seulgi fighting was so cool yet I'm gonna die out of worry. I saw how she threw punches and how she received it too. I can't help but cry at the moment. What if something happens to her? Soon the police came and the guys ran. Serene and I immediately ran towards Seulgi.

"Mommy Seulgi what happened to you?" Serene said as she hugged her. And soon I hugged her too.

"You dumb bear! But thank you so much for protecting Serene."

"It's the least I can do. But we have to talk later. For now, let's report it to the police and settle Serene." Then I nodded.

When we get home, I immediately took my first aid kit to tend to Seulgi's wounds. She was so freaking stubborn and said that she doesn't want to be in the hospital so I had no choice.

"Serene take a bath first and then come back here." I said.

"Got it mama." She quickly ran to the bathroom, and I'm guessing that she's excited for the drawing session with Seulgi.

"Sit down." I commanded Seulgi. She was hesitant at first but then she followed eventually.

"Gosh, look at your lips. You have a small cut in here." I said while putting pressure on the cotton I've been using in tending her wounds.

"Awww be gentle Baechu. Why are you getting mad now?" I was so surprised again. Hearing her saying "Baechu"  just bring back memories.

"That's for being crazy! What if something happens to you back there?"

"Then be it. At least I protected you guys."

"Ugghhh don't you have any reason to live that you're just gonna throw away your life?"

"I do.... but I'm willing to throw my life for the reason I live as well..." she looked at me staright into my eyes. Here she goes again with that.

"Oh and Irene can you let me stay in your house until we find the culprit behind all of this. I don't think it's safe for you guys to be alone. Please allow me to protect you guys. I can just sleep in the couch."

The thought of being with Seulgi under the same roof again uggh is driving me crazy right now but being alone with the threat makes me so afraid so I just said nothing. And she knew that if I don't say anything then that means it's a yes.

"By the way, do you have any idea of who might have an interest to Serene?" She asked.

There's only one person that might have an interest with her. "Bogum" . I saw how Seulgi closed her fist. I can't blame her cause of all the shit we've been through because of him.

"Impossible. He's still in jail. Anyways I'll try everything to know if he's involved and if he is, I swear I'll put him in his place." I can tell that she's very upset but then it changes right away when she saw Serene.

Serene came and they started with their drawing sesion. Wow Serene was so happy and soon ........

"Mama...mama look at my drawing." Then she showed me a family picture drawing. When I saw the picture I got so emotional.. It's me, her and Seulgi. Maybe if I've given her a chance before, we could have been that family.

"I just wish mommy Seulgi will stay with us forever." She said.
