The Proposal

Irene's POV

"And with that I want to introduce the new President of the JDG broadcasting company. Let us all welcome.. my daughter, Irene Bae." Uncle-Appa announced. When I was walking through the stage, I'm freaking nervous. I'm used to be in the crowd before as an actress but not like as the President. Honestly, I was so surprised when uncle handed the the position to me.

Flashback

"Irene, I was planning on retiring already so that I can spend more time with your mom." Uncle-appa said.

"Oh really? That's good and yeah uncle-appa, I think it's about time for you to rest and relax. So do you have anybody in your mind now that's going to take over of your position?"

"Yeah of course."

"Oh and who is it?"

"You!" He said.

"What?" I surprisingly said. Did I heard it right? Me? Never in my dreams that I thought of being the President of our company.

"Yes. you!"

"But why me?"

"Why not? You're my daughter and that's my company. I worked hard for it, do you think I will just hand it to anybody?" I was so touched with what he said. I never have imagined that our relationship will be like these too. I mean I've hated him before but because of Seulgi I've learned to appreciate him and here we are.

"But do you think I can be able to handle it?"

"Well, you're one of the most famous actress before so you kinda know the ins and outs besides I'm always going to be here for you."

"Don't worry I will train and support you until you're ready to take over the company by yourself." He added.

"Thank you for trusting me uncle-appa. I'll do my best."

"Thank you for accepting the position as well. There's one  more thing that I wanted to talk to you about Seulgi."

"What about her?"

"I need her to come back to Korea once she's okay. I'm getting a lot of complains now."

"I understand uncle-appa. I'm kind of forsee it already. I know that she's been here for long and as an actress I know that she can't have a vacation that long specially that she's not an ordinary actress. She's Kang Seulgi." Then I chuckled. "Before you handed me the position, I already thought of going back home with her. I mean I really wanted the both of us to work and I know for sure that Serene will be sad being apart from her mommy Seulgi. Honestly, I have plans of proposing to her once she's okay."

"For real? You're going to propose to the brat?"

"Yah, uncle-appa. She's not a brat. She have proved herself and realizing that I might lose her anytime, I need her to know that I love her as much as she loves me."

Then he chuckled. "Aigoo what a softy you are to her. But honestly, I strongly believed that she deserves that second chance. She loves you so much and not only you even Serene. Plus she almost die protecting you and your daughter so I strongly support the both of you and your mom feels the same way. Anyways she always loved Seulgi for you. That girl, I swear she would do anything for you. I still remember when we used to work together just to give the justice you deserved years ago."

"That's so true uncle-appa. If only I have opened my eyes before maybe I have spared the years we suffered."

"Things meant to happen that way Irene and besides who cares about the past. What matters most is the present. You know what I've got a good idea about this proposal of yours."

"Really? Let me hear it uncle-appa."

Back to the present

"Oh wow, Ms. Bae is back everyone. I'm still such a huge fan. Oppss I'm sorry about that. Let's give around of applause to the new President of our company, President Irene Bae." The emcee said.

"Hi. Good evening everyone. It's feels very good to be back home. I'm really excited to be working in the entertainment industry again. I just wanted to thank uncle-appa, our former President for the trust that he gave and for my mom for her undying support. I will do my very best to perform all the duties as your new president." I bowed and everyone cheered and clapped.

"Honestly, aside from my uncle-appa's announcement, there is something more that I wanted to announce and I want everyone or the whole world to witness what I was about to do. Years ago, I met this actress...." I stopped as someone yelled. "Yeah Seulrene!" I can't help but chuckled.

"Looks like we still have a shipper here, yeah?" And then with that, the crowd gets wild again. I raised my hand to tell them to stop so I can talk and soon the whole vicinity gets quiet.

"Years ago, I met this actress named Kang Seulgi. For sure, everyone knows her now. I really hate her as I felt like she's going to steal the limelight away from me which eventually she did. I don't give a damn to her until one day my uncle-appa called us for a meeting and from there we were given a project together. That project really changed my life because my unwanted screen partner became my lover. We were so happy until we have to face something that broke us. I knew for the fact that everyone was heartbroken as well that I have to quit and we have to break up. But after so many years, fate made it's way and we met again. The first time we met again, I've asked her to let go of me and choose not to be together as there are so many things that we have to resolve within ourselves." I was looking at Seulgi while saying that I can see that she's already tearing up. "Until recently, we met again. This time both of us were healed from the past. I'm sorry for all the Seulgi stans but I have to brag about this. Seulgi, she just loves me so much that made me realized so many things. I'm so lucky that even how many years have passed her love never wavered. Everyday for the past months, she just showed me how pure and patient her love for me and for my daughter is. Yes, daughter. I'm confirming to everyone that I have a daughter and her name is Serene. You're going to meet her later. Now back to Seul, again she have proved me over and over how she loves me and now it's my time to show how much she means to me and how much I love her as well."

"With that guys come in." Joy, Wendy, Yeri, Ahjussi and Seulgi's father came in standing next to each other holding cards. I saw how confused Seulgi's face was. Oh I'm loving her reaction. Next Serene came up to her. She hold Seulgi's hand and pulled her to stand up and walked on the stage.

"Irene..everyone what's happening here?" She asked

"Kang Seulgi" Then Joy showed her card saying WILL. Then Wendy, YOU. Then Yeri MARRY, Then Ahjussi ME, Lastly Seulgi's dad, ? . Seulgi started crying. I walked in front of her and kneeled revealing a diamond ring. "Kang Seulgi will you marry me?" She was so schocked and speechless. And then Serene snapped her.

"Mommy Seulgi. We're all waiting."

"Oh my gosh, is this really happening. I just can't belive it's real. Of course, I want to marry you. I love you so much" She pulled me to stand up and kissed me on my lips. Then when we stopped I grabbed her finger and put the ring on her. Oh my God, now I'm crying. After everything that we've been through. I'm so happy I feel like my heart is going to explode.

And then everybody cheered and stood up clapping.

I smiled at everyone and showed Seulgi's finger. "I'm so sorry Seulgi's admirers, but I already put a ring on her finger. Now she's mine so you can go find someone else."

"Yeah, in Seulrene we trust." Someone yelled.

After half a year..............................................

Breaking News: President Irene Bae and actress Kang Seulgi spotted in Korean Airport heading towards Honolulu Hawaii for their honeymoon. The fans celebrated as they officially became Mrs. Irene and Mrs. Seulgi Kang two days ago. Best of luck to our newly weds Mrs. and Mrs. Kang. Love live Seulrene!
