Chapter 21

Keith's P.O.V.

I dreamt about Lance the night before. I had just woke up, and let's just say my boxers weren't exactly dry.

I wasted a lot of time in the shower that morning, just standing there with the water streaming down my face.

What if I hadn't stopped Lance? Were we seriously going to go that far? What would've happened if we went any further than we did?

When I finally finished my shower, I got dressed and hesitated before going downstairs. I was embarrassed, thinking that Shiro probably could hear some of what was going on in my bedroom. I took a deep breath and slowly made my way to the kitchen.

I noticed that Shiro was cooking what I was assuming to be breakfast. "Whatcha makin'," I asked.

"Just some home fries, eggs, and bacon," he answered.

It smells so good, I hope I have time to eat some before school.

Shiro made me a plate as I put on my shoes. "Eat up," he said. "You need–"

"Fuel," I finished.

"I was going to say," He said. "You need to get moving."

"Right."

I quickly ate my food then left for school. When I arrived at the school, I found Lance's friends Hunk and Pidge, but no Lance.

I took a deep breath and prepared myself to walk over to them. I repeatedly told myself, in my head, that it would be okay. I managed to walk over to the two friends but choked when I went to speak.

"You okay?" Hunk asked.

"Yes, hi," I forced out. "Where's Lance?

They both shrugged.

"Probably skipping today," Hunk said.

"Yeah that's typical," Pidge said. "But it's also typical for him to arrive to school late."

I hummed. "Okay, thank you."

A few minutes before the bell rang, Lance came running over to us, looking... "cleaner" than usual, like he tried harder on his appearance today.

"You have the assignment?" I asked.

"Yep!" Lance sounded a tiny bit out of breath.

I could feel some weird tension between us, not anything bad. Just strange. Pidge looked at us suspiciously, as if they were onto something. Then, the bell rang.

"We should... get to class," I said.

For the rest of the day, we went on as usual. Though, Lance and I hadn't spoke all that much.

When school was over, I started to make my leave until Lance ran up to me and stopped me from walking anymore. He asked, "Hey, wanna hangout tonight?"

"Sorry, I think Shiro wants me to be at home tonight," I said while barely making any eye contact with him.

"Can we not hangout at your place?" Lance asked nervously.

"I don't think we can tonight," I said, coming off slightly rude.

"Oh, okay."

"I'm sorry," I said. "It's just... I'm just feeling strange lately."

"No, no it's fine," Lance said with a soft smile forming on his face.

I thought for a moment. Shiro shouldn't be home until later, so we have time yo spare until then... "Actually," I said. "You can come over."

"Are you sure? I don't want to get in the way of anything."

"No it's okay, I want to spend time with you."

"Okay, if you say so," Lance said.

We drove to my house on my motorcycle, leaving his car behind for the time being. When we arrived at my house, I walked Lance to my room. As soon as I closed the door to my room, Lance turned me around and pinned my against the door in one swift motion then pressed his lips against mine. I was taken aback by the sudden course of actions, making me gasp into his mouth. I felt his knee slip between my thighs, and for a moment I thought he was gonna move it further up but he didn't.

He parted his lips from mine to say, "I've been–" He kissed me some more. "Holding back all day." Then he kissed me more again, making me think that was all he had to say, but then he parted from me once more to add, "You're so stinkin' hot when you do your work in class." He pecked my lips. "I've been waiting all day." With that, we continued making out.

This guy, I swear. He has my mind spiralling like crazy.

Lance wrapped his arm around my waist and pressed his hand against my lower back and, pulled me in close against him. Will this get more heated? Will we actually go that far this time? ...I hope so.
