My day was straight. It coulda been better but I knew that was happening. I hoped in my car and headed home. On my way home I decided to stop by a close friend of mines house, Kan. I've known Kan since kindergarten.

Kan was her nickname but her real name was Leah. She stands at 5'4 with long pretty "tracks" but hey she bought them. Kan lived with her rich father, on the other side of town now but we still occasionally chill.

I pulled up in the drive way dreading to knock on Kan's door. For some reason, her father looks down on everybody on my side of town. He thinks we are either gone become ho's, pimps, drug dealers, or prostitutes.

"Hi Mr.Wang." I said trying not make contact with him. "Hello, Leah is not in right now." As soon as he completed his sentence Kan was at the bottom of their stairwell. I could see the embarrassment in his face when she walked up.

"What's up Yanna!" she smiled and hugged me. "Leah you will not speak in that type of hoodrat language!" he rudely commented. "My bad, I mean I apologize father." Kan said sarcastically.

Kan went ahead and invited me in and her father shot a cold stare at me. I over looked him because I was use to it. The conversation me & Kan had was unexpected.

"Girl I'm pregnant." The words rolled off Kan's tounge. I sat their in disbelief because I wouldn't think Kan would be, you know knocked up. "Are you sure?" "Yea." She said becoming teary eyed.

I couldn't believe the words that came from my best friend Kan. Now her father really won't let us chill because he'll believe it's our fault. Hopefully she knows who the father is but I'm pretty sure she knows because Kan don't even get down like that. Well atleast that's what I hope.
