Chapter 2

Ashtons POV:

I wake up and see Charli laying on her bed smoking.

"Good morning" she says exhaling smoke.

"Good morning to you too" I say and she chuckles.

"What are some of the things you miss the most" Charli asks looking over at me.

"My family, friends, drums, and music" I say.

They dont allow us to have music players because they think thet it messes with your head. If anything music helps. They must be insane. Start injecting them with drugs instead.

"I miss the same things so you used to drum?" Charli asks and I nod.

"My family just kinda left me here and didn't care I have a few friends that visit every now and then but for music my sister snuck my ipod in and as long as they don't find it I'm good" Charli says.

"Smart hah maybe Luke Calum or Michael can sneak mine" I chuckle and she nods smiling.

"Yeah just give him a call wait who's Luke and Michael?" she asks.

"They're two of my best friends along with Calum" I say dialing Lukes number on the phone.

"Cool" she says placimg earbuds in her ears.

Luke finally picks up.

"Hey sorry what's up Ash" Luke says.

"Its okay uh I wanted to know if you could bring my ipod just dont let them knkw you have It?"  I ask.

"Sure but I thought you werent allowed to have music" Luke says.

"Exactly" I say and Luke chuckles.

"Okay well I've gotta go but ill make sure to bring it" Luke says.

"Seeya later" I say hanging up the phone.

I hear a knock on the door and go to check who it is.  I open it to reveal my best mate luke.

"Hey Ash" luke says hugging me.

"Hey oh charli this is like and luke this is charli" I say.

Charli waves smiling then lights a cigrette.

"Are you two… " luke says and I laugh.

"No you dork shes the only friend ive got here and the only highlight of this hellhole also my roommate. " I chuckle and luke hands me my ipod discreetly and I take it.

I have to admit I do find charli atractive.  She has really dark hair that goes a bit longer than shoulder length and pale skin.  But her eyes are a stunning silver.  Were just friends though.  I think we plan to keep it that way. 

"Oh okay cool it was just a little strange there was a girl in the room and you're usually really awkward with girls" luke chuckles.

"He does get pretty awkward sometimes" charli giggles.

"Michael redyed his hair" luke says.

"He better stop or hes gonna loose it and im going to be the one laughing" I chuckle.

"Of course mate anyway my mum is outside and she said to make it quick gotta go seeya" luke says hugging me.

"Yeah cool seeya" I say.

"Hey you can use my hiding spot" cahrli says tapping her foot on the floorbkard by her.

I get on my knees and notice that the floorboard is loose. I pick up the board and notice a couple things of Charlis. Her ipod some cigarettes a couple lighters. I place my ipod inside and get up.

"Are you not allowed to smoke or something" I say.

"We can but just not as much as most of us do" charli chuckles.

"Hey I'm tired I think I'm going to bed" I say walking over to my bed.

"Good idea" charli says crashing onto het bed.

I get more comfortable then slowlybfeel my eyelids get heavier and drift to sleep.

All of a sudden I wake up to a colder room.  Its not even morning.  I check the clock and notice 2:15am.

"Ash is everything okay?" charli asks.

"Yeah just kinda woke up" I say.

"God its freezing in here" charli says.

"I noticed that too." I say.

"Well now I feel beter knowing its not only me" charli chuckles snuggling into her blanket.

"Okay I know this is weird but youre freezing your ass off do you want me to lay with you? " I ask nervously.

"Would you?" charli asks stuttering nervously.

I walk over to het bed and get in slowly and lay close to her placing my arm on her waist.

"Warmer?" I ask.

"Yeah I like this better"charli smiles snuggling into my chest as I chuckle.

Is this weird?  I mean I have known her about a month now.  Dont best friends lay down together?  Do I like her?  Does she like me?  Am I insane?
