Everest's POV

Flames finished his story with why he arrived here but then collapsed right after. Gale and Lumi followed suit and we all rushed over to the three.

"Flames! Gale! Lumi! What, what's happening?" Shelby questioned

"It's because Kyros used them. They're experiencing the after effects after we defeated him," Keeper informed us

"Then how do we help them?" Tyler asked

Keeper just 'hmm' in response. Then Gale and Lumi started writhing on the floor, black magic aura was starting to cover them as their eyes turned purple once again.

"Gale! Lumi!" Heckyl shouted

They were trying to fight the darkness trying to control them, but it didn't seem to be working. As the guys tried to help Gale and Lumi Flames woke up slowly and rose his hand up. He pointed to the direction they were as he absorbed some of the dark aura, making it a little easier for Gale and Lumi to control and not be swallowed up. Either way, we both know what had to happen, I bet they do too.

"Flames, you alright?" I asked

"Yeah, but they aren't," he answered worried

"Can we try to help them anymore than you did?" I wondered

"I don't know, we can try, but they won't be back to normal," he explained

"Then let's do it," he nodded his head

"Guys, stand back," I told them as they backed away from Gale and Lumi

"Flames," I motioned for him to come over

He nodded after grunting a little, getting up from the floor. Once he came over we looked at each other, knowing what to do.

"What are you guys going to do?" Shelby asked

We chose not to answer as we focused on Gale and Lumi. We ordered for them to close their eyes as they tried relaxing, it worked, but we didn't have long. Then we focused on using our powers. We closed our eyes as we helped rid the two of the darkness.

Heckyl's POV

After Flames and Everest closed their eyes there was a flash of a vibrant purple light. As the purple light faded an even brighter yet darker shade of purple consumed the area. When that happened Flames and Everest were both thrown in opposite directions, crashing into the walls.

A few of the rangers split as they made sure Flames and Everest were okay. Darker aura surrounded Lumi and Gale again as they both woke up. They realized what happened as they turned to me. I had come closer after Flames and Everest were blown away, trying to see what I could do.

I put my goggles on seeing the energy levels of the aura. They were high, and I couldn't find anything I could do to save them.

"You can't stop it Heckyl, to turn us back we must die," Lumi insisted in a pained voice

"No, there has to be a way without that happening! I know there is!" I argued as tears were threatening to leave my eyes

Everyone behind me started gasping and some probably close to, or already are crying.

"Heckyl, I would know. Unfortunately they're too far gone, more than I was surprisingly. I'm sorry," Flames told me

He was getting up from where he was, sadness all over his face. I turned to Everest and she nodded, as if she read my mind.

"He's right Heckyl. We're sorry, but it has to be this way," Gale commented

"Goodbye Heckyl," Gale smiled as he closed his eyes

"Fun while it lasted, friend," Lumi added as she did the same

Once they did that, I knew what happened. They were gone.
