3rd Person POV

Hisashi peeked around the corner, surveying the path up ahead; the corridor was cast in shadows, bathed in semi-darkness.

Nothing but blacks and greys...

He looked back and held up three fingers, signalling to Boka that it was all clear. They pressed their backs against the wall as they shimmied down the hallway, zipping past open doors. They turned another corner and the duo was met with a faint yellowy-orange glow of a lightbulb at the end of the corridor. They inched closer, the tenseness in their shoulders slowly ebbing away. Their clenched jaws slacked as the began to relax. They were safe.

Until.

A mop of dark hair was seen darting past the entrance, creating a brief shadow. It was barely anything more than a blur, but it had been there none the less.

They'd been spotted. They were doomed. They stood frozen, bracing for impact.

Izuku shot out the open door so fast that Sonic would have been left in his dust, and latched onto his father's leg. Hisashi was sent sprawling, knocking his brother to the floor in the process. The adorable bundle of energy clambered up onto his father's chest and screamed at the top of his little lungs, "Happy Birthday Dad!" He then sprung over to his uncle and yelled, "Happy Birthday Uncle Bo!"

Two women were rolling on the floor, cackling ang giggling loudly. "You can't escape the cuteness!" Inko hollered whilst trying desperately to calm down and wipe away a few stray tears. She abandoned her position on the floor in favour of sweeping up her 3 year old son into her arms as he shrieked and laughed. Hisashi and Boka were still flopped on the floor, still in a daze from being attacked by a toddler.

'We've stopped countless criminals, barely ever gaining any more than a few scratches. How the HELL did we get tackled by a baby?!' They both thought.

They lifted themselves off of the floor. There moods instantly did the same as they saw the towering dessert waiting on the kitchen counter. It was a gargantuan cake!!!!

It easily surpassed the small 4'9 (about 144 cm for my fellow Englishmen) stature of Asagao. Two emerald dragons stood majestically atop the cake; their icing sugar scales shone in the artificial light. The one on the right was breathing a jade coloured flame and the one on the left was smirking as the fire danced around his tail and legs. The rest of the cake was a delicious chocolate, gooey and soft. All three boys' jaws tumbled to the ground at the sight. Steam was literally dripping out of Hisashi's mouth like drool.

Asagao chuckled at their expressions as she curtseyed to Inko, praising the household's master chef. Inko put her son down and swatted her hand about in embarrassment. The birthday boys charged at their wives.

"THANK YOU!!" they cried

Izuku stood there, smiling widely before rushing at the cake, chubby fingers outstretched.

"Oh no you don't." Boka exclaimed. Izuku was scooped up for maybe the 15th time that day. "You little rascal!" Boka said, booping him on the nose. Izuku pouted. "Fine but only a little bit, ok? We haven't even cut it yet!"

Izuku immediately perked up at that. He reached out to the cake, brushing his hand against the icing sugar dragons. He scooped a bit of chocolate icing on two of his fingers and licked it. His face lit up.
"This is awesome, momma! Teach me how to cook like you~!" He cried, holding the 'ooo' sound.
The adults giggled at the adorable ball of sunshine.
"Come on. We have to sing and blow out the candles!"

Time skip to after singing the 'Happy birthday' song

Hisashi sucked in a huge breath of air, preparing to blow out his and his brother's 32 candles. Izuku leaned over from his perch on his uncle's shoulders and slapped his baby hands over his father's mouth.
