3rd POV

It's been almost eleven hours since they arrived and dawn is almost upon them. In one hour and six minutes, the sun will rise.

The pink haired man stood on top of a large building, looking down on the quiet streets. Very few people were walking around.

His skin was white and his body lined with blue tattoos. The air was freezing, but that didn't bother him. He was a demon after all, such trivial things didn't matter.

It was harder to find the boy he was supposed to be looking for than he thought. Instead, he decided to scope out this bizarre world they landed in.

He pondered for a moment, wondering if he was far enough from Muzan. If he had tany thoughts about his past life while in the presence of that man he would've been long dead.

He decided to tread a little further before taking any chances. After hopping a few buildings down, he came to a stopped.

He stared at the palm of his hand. His yellow eyes inspecting every wrinkle and line. He should've been dead, but he's not.

He thought back to his past life. All the hardship he went through even if it meant becoming a thief and a criminal just to pay for medicine to give to his sickly father. He loved his father, which is why he resorted to acts of robbery and pick-pocketing in order to get enough money and food for the both of them. His father then committed suicide, leaving a letter saying he wanted him to be happy.

He remembered being taken in by a man named Keizo who ran a dojo. He remembered taking care of Keizo's ill daughter. He remembered falling in love with her, being granted permission to marry her and vowing to protect her. But that promise was broken when he failed to keep her safe.

How he hated his life that was filled with empty words and broken promises. He didn't fulfil his fathers wish, he brought blood and shame to the beloved Soryu style Keizo had taught him and he couldn't protect the two people he vowed to keep safe. Empty words and broken promises.

His criminal tattoos he received as a human had spread throughout his body after he became a demon.

He wanted to be powerful. He wanted to have more strength. He wanted to be stronger but he didn't know why.

Thank you Hakuji, you've done enough.

That's right, he's done enough. He didn't want to kill anymore. He's already lost. He didn't want to bring any more blood onto the Soryu style. He didn't want to be a demon anymore.

Koyuki...

The name of the women he fell in love with. It was because of her, he refused to eat and kill women.

He remembered being reunited with her in the afterlife. The warmth of her embrace, her soothing voice welcoming him home, her soft hand she gently stroked his hair with.

He wanted to be with her again. He wanted to see his father and Keizo once more. He wanted to go home.

... I'll be home soon...

Deku POV

I slipped on my red boots and tied the black shoelaces tightly into a bow. So much has happened and to think it was all yesterday.

Yesterday we went to the USJ for some exercises and training, we were then attacked by villains, then these demon hunters came out of nowhere. Once I got back home, I bought a new notebook and hastily scribbled down every drop of information my memory contained. I had to stop several times since my hands kept cramping.
