"There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you."

I groaned, waking up from what seemed like an eternity long nap. I tried turning around and out of the uncomfortable position I was in, only to realize I was stuck in place, not only by ropes tied around my wrist but also from the person lying next to me.

I scrunched my face, not really willing to open my eyes and face the world of another horror I had probably been put in since meeting Stefan Salvatore.

Unfortunately, I was forced to do so as the person next to me suddenly shot up, their body moving erratically up the small bed we've been put in.

As soon as I did what I had been meaning to do for the past few minutes and my eyes met the blinding light of the outside world, I let out a long groan, the splitting headache only proving to become worse with the real-world problems.

Our "bed", which I had learned by looking around as much as I could with the pain in my head was actually a small couch, had at that moment dipped, and next to us sat a man, violently pulling the person next to me to hip, untying her ropes from around her ankles.

"Elena?" I question, putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder as her head snapped to me and then back to the man.

"What do you want?"

The man only told her to be quiet before he went back to untying her ropes, moving on to mine next. For a kidnapper, he wasn't all that bad looking. In most cases, so in movies, the kidnappers usually look very creepy and nothing compared to whoever they deliver you to, but honestly, I could make deal with this man.

His light brown hair went down to his shoulders, beautifully framing his handsome features, making sure that his chocolate deep eyes were on full display.

"Please, I'm hurt," Elena continued as she saw the man was not willing to let her go anytime soon.

"I know," he replied, his eyes staring at her now blood-soaked arm.

I narrowed my eyes, wrapping my other arm around Elena protectively, pulling her closer towards me.

"Just a taste," were his only words as veins appeared under his eyes, his face getting closer towards the huddle of hugging that was Elena and me.

"Leave her alone!" I screamed at her just as a woman's voice cut off the man's antics.

"Trevor! Control yourself!"

We all looked behind the men, Trevor, to be met with the stern eyes of a lady, whom I can only assume to be his friend or helper or whatever.

Trevor listened to her immediately, standing up and walking out of the room.

"It's okay, you're going to be okay," I whispered as Elena held on to me, my eyes staring back fiercely at the woman.

"What do you want with us?" I asked her, snapping her attention away from Elena's just for a second before she returned her gaze back to her.
