The Christmas tree looks different this year.
The lights don't burn as brightly, the decorations don't seem as warm. The smell of cookies no longer fills the house. There are no stockings on the fireplace (there is no fireplace), there's no laughter from the living room (there are no guests.)
So she sits, her first Christmas alone. The new apartment isn't home yet, the new job isn't stressful yet.
So she sits, alone with a mug of hot chocolate and a Christmas special on TV, but she can only think one thing;
