She was in the snow.

Outside. He was going to be there soon, he promised. He was going to meet with her and they were going to run away together, just the two of them, the way it had always been.

Yes, he was going to run over and swoop her up in his arms and tell her that he loved her. Tell her that he would never leave her, ever.

But she was still in the snow, alone.

He was going to be there.

Maybe another fifteen minutes.

Maybe another thirty minutes.

Maybe another hour.

Her body was in the snow. Cold frozen and unmoving.
