Michael’s p.o.v.

I woke up lying in bed all by myself. Sharing beds was something I would try to avoid at any cost but here I was. But instead of having Luke by my side all I faced was an empty pillow beside my feet. I just assumed me not being a morning person got me waking up way later might've been the reason. I looked at the clock on my phone and realized it wasn't late, not at all actually. Seeing that the clock was just minutes from hitting 9 in the morning confused me, I usually wake up way later.

The night had been awfully cold for a Sydney boy like me. So cold so I had fallen asleep with full attire and even my socks on. This wasn't too bad since I didn't have to put on clothes this morning. I went in to the bathroom to toothbrush and other necessities and headed downstairs.

Calum was in full concentration mode and didn't hear my good morning greeting to him. Ashton on other hand was as cheerful as always and waved at me with his spatula from the kitchen. I walked in over to him and could smell the eggs and bacon he was cooking. Luckily enough it seemed as he was cooking for the whole lot, nothing I personally would consider voluntarily.

With my phone in my hands I scrolled through twitter to see if there where anything new and interesting to learn about. I sat on a bar stool in the kitchen I front of Ashton making the food. I never managed to finish finding one when Ashton started talking with me.

"So how was it sharing bed with the tall lad" he said referring to Luke I assumed.

"Not that bad, the first couple of hours where a pain but then it felt like he had left, because I had so much leg room." I shared as I showed him me excitement.

"Is Luke still asleep at this time, he's usually awake by this time" Ashton wondered as he flipped the bacon.

"What do you mean if he still is asleep? I thought he was down here or something." I said surprised.

Both me and Ashton walked in to the living room where Calum sat, already playing his FIFA. Since neither any of us knew about where Luke's is we thought that this one might have an idea.

We assumed that Calum could feel our presence or he heard our footsteps, because he didn't need to turn around to ask both me and Ashton a question.

"What do you two want? If it's the TV are you about to get turned down this time." he said very determined. I swear I haven't seen him move away from the couch since last night's fight with him and Ashton. Now when I think about it, it would've been hilarious if I'd captured it.

"No Calum no need to worry, the TV is all yours. But have you seen Luke this morning? He isn't upstairs and I haven't seen him anywhere down here since last night." Ashton said with his arms crossed and worries in face started to show.

"You know Luke, he's grown man he can make his own decisions by now. Let him be 18 and do stuff like other kids his age does." Calum said and didn't once leave his eyes from the screen.

"You and Luke are the same age, and what are you doing. Aren’t you supposed to be a grown man too?" I said trying to be funny.

"Nope man. I don't know if you recall, but I'm 19 and do not qualify for that anymore."

After several questions being asked and some attacks at each other we had to face the truth. No one knew where Luke was. He was the one who made sure that everyone knew what was going on. No one would be left out and everyone was informed. He had never been the one to disappear.

He couldn't have gone out to go to the gym or a run because of his damaged leg. His doctor had told him to be careful, which equaled no exercise what so ever. The fridge was full with food so he wasn't at the shop. And after the fit he had on Calum yesterday we doubted that he had decided to roam the streets himself too.

After waiting for hours after noticing that his phone still was in our room and we knew that he obviously wouldn't answer the phone if we would call him. It was now 4pm and we started to get tired of waiting. Now on second thought I wish that when it felt like Luke was missing, that I already then had noticed that he actually was missing.

We decided to call our manager to make sure he didn't get a call to record something. We were here to record our second album after all. But we got the one answer didn't want to get, that he didn't know. We weren't surprised but we were disappointed. We continued calling all our other friends too and even his family too to insure that this wasn’t a miss communication kind of problem. But we were out of luck there too. But since he is 18 year old man we knew that we had to wait for a certain amount of time before we could report him as missing. And who knows he could knock on the door any minute now.

In that moment I ran to the door. Luke didn't have a spare key, the only key in the house hung on a nailed nail on the wall. And as I thought was the only key still hanging on the wall. The door was opened since no one had been there to lock the door for him. I stepped outside and got blinded by the California sun but proceeded to continue walking.

After walking down towards the small gate all I was faced to were more houses and people roaming around the street. I didn't know what way to start walking buy that was when I realized that both my mates where behind me. We didn't need to say much before we split up. Me walking down right, Ashton towards the left, and Calum down the roads he had explored the previous day. We made sure to leave a couple of notes around the house in case he would come back and we all had our fully charged phones with us.

Luke would never do this to us. We knew that and if he'd left us by ourselves without any warning he sure didn't do it on his own will. All I saw before I took another turn away from the house I saw Calum talking to girl with the same worry struck all over her face too and Calum trying to calm her down.
