Sidekick - A Villain Kaminari Story

Battle

Jirou's POV

As we stood there, daring the other to attack, I couldn't help feeling sad. I knew I'd have to hurt my friends.

'Do they even consider me as friends anymore?' I thought miserably.

"DIE!!!!" Bakugou yelled as he charged towards us.

Kaminari charged forward with the same vigour.

It was chaos after that first move.

I found myself battling against Yaoyorozu, Tsuyu, and Mina.

Yaoyorozu made weapons for herself to use. She managed to cut me and I felt hot blood running down my arm, but adrenaline had kicked in so I didn't feel it.

I dodged Mina's acid attacks with the new training I had gotten from the villains. It feels bad to use the moves I learned there, but at least it was helping me.

Tsuyu tried to tie me up with her tongue, but I slashed it away with my earphone jack.

"Ribbit!" Tsu exclaimed in pain.

Her tongue was bleeding.

'I'm sorry,' I thought sadly.

I found myself battling Yaoyorozu.

She fought with a sword that she had created and I dodged while trying to find an opening to get her with my jacks.

"Just explain one thing to me," Yaoyorozu growled through gritted teeth, "Why?"

I jumped back as I dodged another one of her attacks. We were both panting hard. I didn't know how long I could keep this up.

"Y-you don't understand," I respond tearing up, "I have to fight you! It's not my choice!"

"You had a choice the moment they let you go!" Yaoyorozu yelled surging forward, blades pointed at me.

'I'm sorry'

I had recreated the speakers I had on my hero costume while I was with the villains. They weren't as powerful, but they still packed a punch. I plugged my earphone jacks into the speakers and yelled...

"Heartbeat Fuzz!"

Yaoyorozu was knocked down and on the ground. I quickly ran over to her and pinned her down, kicking her blades away.

"Checkmate," I breathed holding the knife I had in my pocket close to her throat.

'STOP' I thought, 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?'

"I-i'm sorry..." I sobbed.

"It's ok," Yaoyorozu says calmly, "Just put the knife down and we can go home,"

Shigaraki screamed, "Kill her!"

'Now or never,' I thought nervously.

"No," I said defiantly.

"What did you say to me?" Shigaraki asked infuriated.

"I said no! I won't kill my best friend!"

"Grrr....."

I lunged at Shigaraki and stabbed him in the arm. He gave a cry of pain.

"Come on!"I shouted to Tsuyu, Momo, and Mina while grabbing my friend's hand. 

We raced out of the USJ together to find the teachers. I stopped running once we got the doors.

"What's wrong?" Mina asked.

"You guys go ahead without me! I'm going to get Kaminari!"

"You saw how he fought back there!" Tsuyu said sadly, "He's a villain now, and nothing will change that!"

"We'll see," I said through gritted teeth.

I raced back into the USJ to find Kaminari battling against Thirteen. I grabbed Kaminari's hand at the wrong moment and ended up getting shocked.

"Ow!" I exclaimed. My whole arm was numb.

"Jirou? Sorry, I zapped you but-"

I yanked him away from the battle. I knew that if I did this, then he would be shocked enough for me to pull him away from this but...

"Jirou! What are you doing? I-"

I saw his electrifying yellow eyes widen in shock as I pulled him in close to feel his lips. He held my shoulders and let his hands slip down my arms. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him closer to me. The rest of the world melted away. My mind became hazy and we both slipped away into the surreal moment. His lips were soft as clouds, and I turned my head to get a better angle. When we finally broke apart we were both gasping for air.

"Oh my...wow..." Kaminari said overwhelmed, "What w-was t-that?"

"Your first kiss dummy!" I answered laughing, "Now let's go with the others outside! Recovery Girl can heal any injuries you have, and we can be free of the villains!"

"Jirou, as much as I would love that, they wouldn't accept me. I'm sorry"

I sighed, "I'm sorry too,"

Kaminari looked puzzled, "For what?" 

"This."

I bashed him over the head with my elbow, knocking him out.

I carried him out of the USJ (with some difficulty).

When I was outside, my friends rushed up to me.

"Is he ok?" Kirishima asked.

"He only has a bruise on his head and some cuts."

"Thank goodness!" Midoriya exclaimed.

"We need a medic over here!" Iida shouted desperately.

By now the authorities and physicians had arrived.

'Who needed a medic this badly?' I wondered worriedly.

Then I saw him.

Todoroki.

His head and arms were bleeding badly.

'It was probably that maniac, Toga,' I thought, 'She cut Todoroki's ice with her razor-sharp knives and when she got in close she slashed him like crazy.'

I prayed that he was going to be ok.

The Pro Heroes suddenly arrived.

"Sorry we couldn't come earlier, but our phones weren't working." Midnight said.

'Kaminari,' I thought.

Everyone started to back away from me and Kaminari.

"I-i can explain! It isn't what it looks like!" I exclaimed hastily, "You see I was walking back from the dorms when-"

I started to feel drowsy.

"When..."

I passed out.
