Kaminari's POV
2 months ago; the night of villains' attack
We were battling against the villains at our summer camp. This weird-looking guy with a fire quirk was fighting us. I saw Jirou giving me a strange look as I dodged and tried to attack the villain. We were holding them off until the fire guy set off a huge firestorm. I saw that purple mist guy from the USJ and tried to grab his body, but it was too late. I was transported to a dark room and immediately tied to a chair. I was also gagged. Soon more villains arrived.
'Why isn't my damn quirk working?' I thought, frustrated.
Shigaraki, the leader I guess, walked up to me.
"This isn't the boy I wanted! I mean this one was potential, but..."
I let out a muffled, "LET ME GO!!!"
Shigaraki stepped back and watched me grapple with my bindings.
"Hey, kid. Stop struggling. We wanna give you an offer."
He proceeded to take off my gag.
"What do you want?!?" I asked furiously.
"Do you wanna join?"
"Like, the League of Villains?"
"Yeah."
"HELL NO!" I shouted.
"Don't think you got a choice here, kiddo!"
He held his hand about an inch above my throat. I had seen how his quirk worked. I knew I was trapped in this. But... I was supposed to be a hero, not a villain.
"Well?" Shigaraki said, bringing his hand closer to me.
"Fine," I whispered, "you win."
Shigaraki was thrilled.
"Great! Plus, you already have a friend here!"
"W-what do you mean?" I asked. I knew this couldn't be good.
"That Uraraka girl. Your classmate."
"She was-"
"The one to give us all the info." he laughed. "I like you, kid. You're smarter than you look."
That statement made me think of Jirou. She had always joked around about how dumb I was. I hoped she was ok.
"Enough about the girl, though. Your discipline training starts tomorrow,"
"Alright,"
"Toga will lead you to your room,"
A girl with buns jumped up.
"That's me!" she shouted excitedly.
Shigaraki looked back at me, "Oh, and don't even think of trying to escape. Or else,"
I hung my head low as my bindings were untied.
"Look on the bright side kid," The young man with stitches said, "At least you'll get the spotlight as a villain. Not like a sidekick. I think you'll like it here!"
He was wrong.
So wrong.
Time skip 3 weeks
This training wasn't getting any easier. At first, it had all been "discipline" (AKA beating). Then we started combat training.
Uraraka would come over once in a while and bring news from U.A. She acted very differently in front of the villains. Not the sweet, bubbly girl I knew. She said it was funny seeing how much time Jirou was wasting looking for me.
