Scarlett: Hey! Reading to get our party on!!!!!!

I sigh and stare at the text message for a little bit. Trying to figure out what to say.

Do I stay home, loath in my sadness? Or do I go out and get so wasted I can't remember my name?

Scarlett: Hello?? Jamie?? LETS PARTY!!
I looked down at my phone again and realized it's been 10 minutes since she texted

Jamie: I don't know.. It's Sunday and I have work tomorrow...

Scarlett: AW come on!! We haven't gone out in like 3 weeks, plus, there's a new band playing at the bar.

Jamie: Who?

I always love going to the bar and hearing the bands that perform, that's usually the only reason I go. But lately, it's been the same bands playing, maybe it's time to hear something new.

Scarlett: something about "the future violents" idk, but I heard that they're good.

Jamie: Alright, I'm convinced. Pick me up at 9.

Scarlett: AW YEAH!! Party Time!! See you then chicka!

I smiled to myself and got up from the couch and walked up the stairs to my room to get ready.

I opened my closet, trying to find something to wear. I decided on black skinny jeans, a black and white striped crop top, and a pair of lilac high top converse.

I walked to the bathroom attached to my room and looked into the mirror. My bright red hair, shoulder-length hair was a complete mess so I decided to brush it and put it in space buns. I then decided to put on some simple red eyeliner and mascara and called it good. I looked at myself and sighed,

"Alright Jamie, you can do this, you're gonna get trash faced and pass out in the bathroom of the bar." I fixed my clothes and walked downstairs, ready to go out.

I sat on my couch and soon my pitbull Daphne got up from her dog bed and walked up to me and placed her head on my lap. I bent down and kissed the top of her head.

"Hey, sweety... Wish me luck, I'm going outside for the first time in like a month."

Daphne looked up at me and licked my cheek. I laughed and wiped my cheek.

"I wish you could come with me, we would be the life of the party." Then the door flew open and in came Scarlett. Daphne ran to the door to greet her.

"Hey, girlie!! Look at you, your three legs are faster than my dogs four!" She bent down and pet her.

"Hey, Jamie ready to get our party on!?!" Scarlett got back up and walked towards me, reaching her hand out to me to help me off the couch.

I sighed and took her hand and went to the table and grabbed my handbag. "Yup, ready to get so drunk I can't stand. I've been overdue." I chuckled and walked towards the door, "let's go".

Scarlett looked at me worried, "Jamie, are you okay?" She walked to me and put her hand on my shoulder, "is something going on?"

I hid my feelings by laughing "Of course I am, now let's go! I gotta see this new band." I gestured her to walk out the door and she did so.

"See you soon Daphne" I blew her a kiss, shut the door, locked it, and walked to Scarlett's car.

Hopefully, tonight is interesting

Once we got to the bar I headed straight to the drinks.

"Three shots, please"

The bartender put down the glasses and poured the drinks. I shot them down no problem and noticed the lights going down a little more.

Guess the band is starting to play.

I walked up towards the stage so I can get a good view and Scarlett came up behind me and handed me a beer.

"Let's hope these guys are actually good."

Soon people were coming onto the stage, drummer, guitarist, bassist, and the singer, who also had a guitar.

"Hey everyone, um... thanks for coming out and I hope you have a great time..."

The singer started to tune his guitar. "Okay, well, we're Frank Iero and the Future Violents, and this first song is called 'Six Feet Down Under' "

Soon guitar started and the singer, who I'm guessing is named Frank, started singing.

Now you don't have to accept my fears, but you better respect my fear

And I know I don't have to explain myself to you

But I might feel better if I try

He wasn't really singing yet, but his voice was captivating nonetheless. I got into it right away and started dancing in my spot, already starting on my third beer.

There's a part of me that's not sure if I'm here

Yea, there's a definite part of me that don't believe in the now

His singing voice got me hooked, I was totally digging this, totally captivating myself in the music.

_____

"You guys are awesome, thank you so much for listening... We're gonna take a break"

Frank waved to the crowd and everyone cheered and clapped. I walked up to the bar and ordered another 3 shots.

I took down all three in a hot second, breathed heavily, and sat on one of the stools.

"Wow, I guess you're not sharing drinks tonight"

I looked to the right of me and there, sitting next to me, was the singer of the band.

"Ha, yeah, just trying to forget" I mentally face palmed myself, having no reason as to why I said that.

"Hey, no shame, we all have something we want to forget." He chuckled a little and ordered,

"Hey, can I get six shots over here!" He yelled to the bartender.

Soon enough six shots were in front of him. He looked at me, looked down, smiled, and pushed over three to me.

"So why don't we do this together, I'm Frank, by the way, Frank Iero, in case you didn't hear" He looked at me smiling and raising a glass.

I looked at him too, captivated by his smile. "I'm Jamie, Jamie Keeton."

We downed our three shots together and that's the last thing I remember of that night.
