A Hero's Plight

This kid who moves around and sleeks

Around the corners, in the town,

A boy nobody likes or seeks,

A kid everyone puts down.

In the shadows, he always stays,

His face is ashen, his lips are white,

No one knows he hasn't eaten in days,

There's no wonder he stays out of sight.

And on he goes, no kindness paid to him,

Working for little, but providing a Home

For his siblings, giving them the food he gets on a whim

To the three of them; Heroic-yet Invisible.
