This dark place, I've been here so long,
A sanctuary, there I am so fond,
Has become my place of solitude,
Somewhere I don't have to hide my mood.
It's in there, all my sorrows I can reap,
My feelings, and let them flair,
Nowhere else I do not dare.
It was you though, who pulled me out,
Showed me things to smile about,
The world and what to live for,
Outside those shadows, I've found a door.
You've opened it for me, so thank you,
From there I found me, but new.
If it wasn't for you, I'd still be there,
But now I'm here, so my happiness with you I'll share.

Poems from the Heart and Mind
Historia CortaThese poems are all ones I've wriiten over the years, some in good times, some in bad. A lot are fragments of my imagination. There are some poems of suicide, love, broken-heartedness, confusion, and death. Enjoy.
