Things weren't good on the media for front.
It seemed as though there were more paparazzi outside her apartment than usual. They were certainly more aggressive. She almost lost her footing on her way to her door and she was glad she decided to wear her ray bands before she left. She let out a relieved sigh as she made it into her building. She just wanted to be in her home with Karlie, were it was safe and warm.
The meeting hadn't been pleasnt. It was mostly her apologizing while everyone took turns yelling at her. She was just glad that they weren't going to force her to break up with Karlie. After it was all done she had called Karlie to confirm that she was still at her apartment before she jumped into the waiting vehicle and rushed home.
Her apartment smelled amazing and she couldn't help following the delicious scent to the kitchen.
Karlie was bent over her dinner table arranging some flowers. She wore one of Taylor's dresses and it made Taylor's stomache flutter with delight.
"What's this?" Taylor placed her bag on the counter and approached her new girlfriend.
Karlie turned with a big smile. "I promised you a date. Sit."
Taylor followed orders and sat. She admired the table set which held several plates of her favorite foods, candles, wines and flowers.
"Karlie this is beautiful." Karlie's eyes shined with happiness.
"A beautiful meal for a beautiful girl." Karlie kissed the top of Taylor's head before taking her seat across from her.
"You didn't have to do all this. I would have helped you if you had waited."
"Nonsense. You've had a long day and it probably won't get any easier due to the way I decided to show my feelings for you."
"Karlie you don't have to be sorry for anything. I thought we decided that I forgave you and you forgave me for dating Dianna." Taylor reached over for her hand.
"You're right. Sorry, lets eat."
It was the best date Taylor had had in years. They spoke of everything and because they had been best friends they didn't need to talk about themselves much. Taylor found herself laughing genuinly for the first time in months. As the dinner progressed, Karlie's chair had somehow found it's way to Taylor's side and they jokingly began to feed one another. Karlie brought out a soft chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert. When some eneded up on Taylor's chin, Karlie had instintly licked it clean. Taylor blushed and pecked Karlies lips which Taylor admitted that Karlie didn't have chocolate or ice cream on them.
They cleaned the mess together then moved to Taylor's room. They weren't ready for sex, they agreed, so they cuddled on Taylor's large bed with Olivia and Meredith watching Love Actually.
Despite everything happening outside, Taylor found her sweet escape with Karlie.
