Let me under your skin.
Hepzibah Smith lay dead at my feet. Alia stood next to me, Cieran having left the moment the old hag was dead. My whole body felt drained but strong, as if my entire strength had been pulled into the small cup I held in my pale hand. I turned to Alia, placing a hand on her arm and meeting her lips with mine. I loved her even more in that moment- if that's even possible.

Alia sat on the blue sheeted bed, staring into the small room she had prepared for the child she would soon know. Tom's job had paid for a cot and decorations for the box room, and Alia had made a new pair of curtains. She felt happy, but not complete.
Since leaving Hogwarts and her childhood behind, she had not seen her two Ravenclaw friends. She missed them greatly, but Tom had forbidden her from seeing them. He was wary of them finding out about the Knights and Alia's dark mark. She understood his worries, but still dearly missed her two best friends. She had had no contact with them and had no idea where they were or what they were doing. The streets had gotten more dangerous with Grindelwald's numerous gangs and now Tom's own patrolling the streets.
The clearly expensive ring on her finger glinted in the dying sun, immediately clearing her already aching head. Pregnancy had taken its slow toll on her once slim body, occasionally making her hate Tom Marvolo Riddle and his beautiful face. She loved the child she had yet to know, but by Merlin could she not wait to have it out of her. Neither could Tom.
He stood in front of the ornate mirror undoing his black tie and the top two buttons of his crisp white shirt. At only nineteen the couple had toughened up, their once soft hands now hard with the pains of living life on their own. Tom had remained beautiful though, as had his young bride to be. Her pregnancy had come at a surprising time but the pair believed that they were truly ready to become parents. No matter how young they were.
"Not long now, my love." He spoke softly as he placed a hand on her rounded stomach gently. Alia laughed as she felt the child kick against Tom's hand. "They know you already Tom!"
"Our child."He smiled down at the bump in front of him.
Tom settled down into the bed with her, holding her against him. Sleep came quickly to the both of them and they lay peacefully entwined together for some hours.
That was until Alia woke Tom up with a look of pure panic on her face.
"Tom?"
"Yes?"
"My water just broke. I'm in labour."I could have laughed at how casually she said that, like she wasn't about to give birth. If I was her I'd probably be screaming, but she kept incredibly calm. Well, she was calm until she started having contractions. That's when she was screaming and hitting me and telling me she hated me. Hated me for getting her pregnant and for not knowing how much pain she was in. I held her hand and helped her as best I could (thank God for magic or this would have been horrible).

Two hours later Alia lay holding a small baby girl. She had the beautiful deep green eyes of her father and the sweet features of her mother. Her parents looked down at her in awe, amazed at how much they already adored her. The new family beamed at each other. They had never been happier.
