FRANK'S POV
Frank let out a puff of cigarette smoke into the chill of the October night air. Shifting slightly in his place in the shadows, he scanned the edges of the street, looking for a possible victim. There weren't many people out here, on the dirty edges of the city, Frank obviously knew, and he guessed that anyone who would be traveling in these back alleyways were criminals or the like.
Frank, to be blunt, was a demon. He didn't like to skirt around the fact, because it was the truth, and he was quite proud of it.
He blinked his glowing orange eyes, scanning the street once again. He was supposed to be downtown, causing mischief and using his powers of demonic influence on the humans there, but he was hungry. He figured a soul or two would tide him over until he could return to Hell for reports and an actual meal.
Truthfully, he didn't have to eat, being a demon, but sometimes they got hungry anyways. They could either ignore the feeling until it went away, or eat souls, or even better - the food of the Head Demon himself back in Hell. Frank wasn't prepared to wait, and it had been months since he'd felt hungry last. A snack wouldn't hurt.
A shadow flashed in the road below him, and he grinned, flicking away the cigarette he was holding. Silently, he slipped down over the edge of the building, landing like a cat behind the figure. The glow of a phone illuminated the walls beside the human, painting the dirty bricks a futuristic blue.
It was a middle aged man, looking slightly pissed as he typed into the phone. Frank melted into the shadows, narrowing his eyes and controlling the orange glow so that they faded to a greenish-hazel color. The man had a gun on him, which didn't surprise Frank.
Slowly, Frank stepped forward into the light of, (ironically) the full moon. The man jumped, dropped his phone, and whipped out his gun, turning it on Frank.
"Who are you?" The guy demanded, stepping forward.
Franks mouth curled into a sly grin, and he tipped his head to the man.
"I could ask you the same question, my friend." He countered.
The man scowled. "This isn't a time for funny business, kid, I'm trying to get a job done. Move along. I'm not afraid to result to violence."
Frank laughed. He heard the click of the pistol as the man cocked and loaded the thing, pointing it at Frank's leg. Frank rolled his eyes, ducking under the barrel and bringing his elbow up into the man's sternum with frighteningly inhuman speed. The man stumbled and sprawled backwards, dropping the pistol.
Frank kicked it off to the side, slipping his hands inside of his pockets and strolling forward as if this were a normal day at the park. He pressed his foot down on the mans chest, watching as he sputtered. He snorted. Dumb, combative humans.
The mans eyes widened with fear as Frank bent over him, grabbing his chin and staring him in the eyes.
"Goodnight." Frank murmured, his eyes flashing orange.
A white misty substance seeped through the man's skin, which seemed to be shriveling like a prune. Frank's fingers left glowing prints in the man's jaw, and the substance wrapped around Frank's hand as he pulled away from the now dead man.
Once the must had fully detached from its previous owner, Frank inhaled the mist through his nose, his hunger finally quenched. He tilted his head like a curious cat, his eyes reflecting mocking pity.
Humans were too easy.

GERARD'S POV
Gerard nervously fiddled with the edge of his dress shirt as he waited for the council to let him into The Chamber. His brother sat across from him, his face a mask of calm, but underneath Gerard knew he was insanely nervous for Gee's sake.
Mikey looked up from his hands, pressing his glasses up on his nose. Gerard swallowed hard and leaned forward over his knees, rubbing his hands together in unease. He was trying extremely hard to not have a panic attack.
"Gee, you'll be okay." Mikey finally spoke up. Gerard bit his lip. He wasn't really sure what to say.
"I mean, they can't doom you forever. You only committed a slight infraction. The worst they'll do is give you some kind of undesirable job." Mikey reasoned, resting a hand on Gerard's shoulder.
Gerard flinched, his large wings shifting slightly. He wished that the whole angel thing was more loose with rules, I mean, he was new, after all. Both him and Mikey were, and Gerard had just BARELY made it into heaven. He'd been a bit mischievous before he'd died, about thirty years ago. Since angels were immortal, thirty years of angel-ness was really, really new.
He hadn't known he wasn't supposed to consort with the humans, or be truthful with them about what he was, unless it was his job. He'd just been bored and decided to visit some of his old favorite places. Some people saw, memories ended up having to be altered. Gerard didn't really see what the whole deal was. Weren't angels a good thing?
The doors at the end of the cold grey corridor swung inward, spilling warm, inviting light into the hall.
"Gerard Arthur Way, Enter." A voice commanded.
Gerard stood, reaching to smooth out some ruffles in his feathers. What if they clipped his wings? He was terrified of that, and that was the worst thing you could do to an angel. When it was grounded, there were a few different directions of change that could take place. None of them seemed pleasant when Gerard had read about them in the Master Library.
He took a deep breath and glanced at Mikey, who jerked his head at the door.
Gerard slowly emerged into the center of a room that could have been a much smaller version of the colosseum. The marble pillars stretched high against the blue sky, framed with ivy and other beautiful climbing plants. The council sat on a set of raised seats toward the center. There were eight members, four females, four males, of different ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, etc, so that the council could be as fair as possible. The rest of the seats were empty, as this was a private decision.
One of the men, an old angel with a long white beard and hair and wings to match, stood and beckoned Gerard closer.
"Gerard Way." He said simply, tipping his head in greeting.
Gerard bowed to the council, then straightened. "Sirs and Madams."
The same angel spoke again. "You know why you are here, I assume, but I will re-state the charges so we do not forget." He paused and cleared his throat. "You are here on account that you, without permission, left Heaven, returned to Earth and revealed your true nature to no less than seven human beings. I know you don't understand why this is a problem, but every angel has a job to do. And it is important that we do not interfere another's job, lest the balance be upset. Humans, unless a guardian is sent to assist them, are not to know of the presence of angels." He bowed his head and sat. Gerard felt arguments building in the back of his throat, but he kept them down. It would only make things worse.
A female angel with dark skin stood, addressing Gerard next.
"We have decided as your punishment, you are to hunt and bring demons to justice on earth. It is a dangerous and messy job, and requires a lot of discipline." She paused and Gerard hung his head in shame. Demons. Great. Angels who dealt with demons were literally good for nothing else. They were expendable, since demons were extremely dangerous in some cases.
"Look at me." She commanded gently. Gerard looked up, and met her oddly golden eyes. "Gerard, this will be your job for the next two centuries. You are dismissed. Pack your things; you have a day left to say goodbye to family and friends."
Gerard felt tears sting his eyes. Two centuries really wasn't bad for an angel, but still... Two whole centuries on earth, being forced to hunt down his opposites, his arch enemies.
It was going to be a long two hundred years.
