Toni's POV

I woke up with a huge smile on my face. Yesterday was the best day of my life, I couldn't wait to see Cheryl at school today.

I quickly got dressed, washed my face, then ate breakfast.

"Later mom!" I called on the way out.

I hopped on my motorcycle, driving to school.

Cheryl's POV

I was having a very bad morning! My clothes I wanted to wear were in the laundry so I had to wear something else.

I had on an Adidas track sweatsuit, my glass on, hair down.

I opened my locker, grabbing my books for my first lesson.

Someone covered my eyes, "guess who?" Toni said. I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Uh? Betty?" I teased. She scoffed, "no. Try again." She huffed. I giggled, "It's Toni Topaz." I smiled.

"Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!" Toni joked. I laughed.

"What's your first class?" I asked. Toni sighed.

"I have two spares, so I have to go to Mr. Mayfields for that algebra test." She huffed. I giggled.

"I'm sure you'll do fine, TT," I said.

"TT? I like it." Toni teased.

"Well, your name is Toni Topaz, so TT," I explained with a blush. Toni Chuckled nodding her head.

The bell ranged, signaling for us to go to class.

"I'll see you in 3rd." Toni smiled.

"Okay." Toni kissed my cheek, walking away with a smile.

I stood there, dumbfounded, holding my hand on the spot she kissed at.

I sighed dreamily, closing my locker, going to my next lesson.

Toni's POV
Lunchtime.

I was walking through the hall when I heard whimpers and cries.

Quirking a brow, I went towards the sounds. I saw Cheryl. She was on the floor in tears.

"Cheryl?" I questioned softly.

She looked up and quickly wiped her tears.

"What's wrong?" I asked, sitting beside her.
I didn't care who saw us, Cheryl needed assistance.

"That jock R-Reggie mantle pushed me into t-the locker." She cried.

"Oh no! Are you okay?" I asked. Of fucking course Toni! She's crying because she's okay.

"Sorry. Wrong question. Right question; Does anything hurt?" I rephrased my question.

"My head, back, and my glasses broke again." She sighed.

"God he is gonna pay. Come on, let's get you cleaned up." I said, helping her up.

"Do you have any spares?" I asked.

"N-no. My dad and I were supposed to get spares after school." She replied.

"Okay, come on." I pulled her into the bathroom.

I picked her up, placing her on the counter. I went into the draw, grabbing the first aid kit I stored there for when I get into fights.

"Can you show me you back?" I asked gently. She nodded turning around, lift up her shirt.

I put the squeeze ice pack on it. Then I check her face for any bruises, she had one on her chin.

"Is this new?" I asked, gently touching the spot.

"No." She whispered.

"Who is it from?" I asked. She looked down.

"You." She responded, fiddling with her hands.

"Oh," I said. My heart felt as if someone took it out.

"Cher..." I whispered, lifting her head up gently by her chin.

"I'm so sorry for the way I treated you all those years. But I'm ready to change now, I really like you. A lot, and that's rare because I never share my feelings, but your different. I can feel it." I said wholeheartedly. Cheryl nodded, her eyes cast down to my lips then back to my eyes.

I slowly leaned in until our lips locked. Cheryl kissed back lightly, her eyes closed, I closed mine as it started to get heated.

I pulled away before we get too excited. Cheryl opened her eyes with a shy smile.

I smiled at her causing her to blush, "call your dad and I'll call my mom so we could be excused for the day." I said, putting all the stuff away and back into the drawer.

"Okay." She smiled, taking out her phone. I did the same, selecting my mom's contact.

Cheryl's POV

"Hey, dad, something happened at school, I wanted to know if you can call the school so I could be excused. I don't think I can do the rest of the day." I told him.

"It was Toni, wasn't it? I swear to God that child will not live an-"

"Dad! It was Toni. It was a jock. Toni helped me with my bruises. My glasses broke again." I told him. He sighed, calming his nerves.

"Oh, well, tell Toni I said thank you. And I'll pick some up, on my way home, for now, wear your contacts." He said.

"Okay, dad. Call the school." I hung up.

Toni also hung up the phone.

"My mom said it was okay."

"My dad said it was okay." I and Toni said at the same time.

We giggled. I smiled at her as the principles came and told us that we were excused for the rest of the day.

I'm having a bad morning🥺

I was supposed to take graduation pictures today but when my alarm went off at 7:10 AM I dismissed it instead of snoozing it because I was so tired from going to bed at 4:00 AM, I woke up so late then my asthma started acting up. So now I have to do retakes.

This is what my life has come to now! I have to suffer from asthma and I can't do any sports or anything. Ugh, this is why I'm lazy.
