When my eyes peered open I yawned loudly and groaned. I was lying in a very weird thing. I sat up and then fell out of a hammock with a yelp.
I looked around at the room. Hammocks surrounded me and so did darkness. It seemed to be dark in the room but light outside since there was one window with light coming through.
There were others in hammocks but I couldn't see their faces on the ground. I could tell i was in a barn because of the strange shape of the building. I slowly stood up, my leather clothes s questing slightly and making farting noises. I giggled a bit at the sound and woke some of them up.
"Geez, Becky, why are you up so late? It's three pm!" Some guy exclaimed and I rolled my eyes.
Suddenly, I could feel these strange holes in the outer gum above my teeth. If I tried hard enough some fangs would come out and replace the others. I was a vampire! Sweet! I remember talking about vampires in my third dream I think... Maybe it was my fourth dream... I don't remember, but I remember he told me about all these funny vampire and werewolf movies. I told him I thought it was cool and he was most girls thought it was. I was a bit sceptical about that but it doesn't really matter I suppose.
"Then go to sleep!" I chuckled. My voice sounded a bit deeper than in my last dream but it made me sound more...I guess attractive but I wouldn't know. I honestly don't even know if I think of myself correctly. During these dreams, there was just a huge part of my that didn't know anything. I didn't look the same in all of the dreams so I technically have no idea what's actually going to happen. I have no idea how I look in real life either which is what really scares me.
I started carefully slinking around the room and made it to a very nice open space in the barn. The man from earlier followed me and revealed himself to be Burt.
He was a hairier version of Burt but he still looked very handsome and all. He was still tall with dark hair and stubble. Although he looked pretty normal his clothes were mostly ripped up and revealed his chest. He had a very hairy chest but it was kind of cute. He looked like a little dog that I'd want to keep as a pet.
"Oh hey Burt," I smirked and winked at him.
He blushed a bit, as far as I could tell since he had more hair, and then scratched behind his head.
"Becky it's the middle of the day go back to sleep. The whole group hates it when you get up like this!"
I scoffed and rolled my eyes once more. I ripped off my leather jacket since I was heating up in the barn and walked over to a small mirror on a counter.
I had dark hair, practically black, that was pretty short but not too short. It still went past my ears. I also had nice blue eyes and very pale skin. My skin was like when I was a zombie but had a bit more life in it.
"Hey, you're looking good. Think about shaving?" I teased and laughed. He seemed to laugh along but I couldn't see his facial expression.
"Becky come one. At night we can have all the funny and cute conversations we always have. As long as you don't try to bite me this time!"
I laughed again and motioned for him to go away.
"You go to sleep I'll be right there..."
"You mean...in your hammock, right?"
I refrained from bursting out laughing by covering my mouth with one pale hand of mine.
"Well if you really want a cuddle buddy..."
He rolled his eyes and left immediately. I don't know why but I was really audacious now.
I sat down on the counter next to where the mirror was and started thinking. This was the sixth dream. I knew it was a dream because there weren't vampires in real life. I started thinking about all the people I would lose in this dream. Would it be another vampire or some other creature? Honestly, it didn't matter. I would try to be as antisocial as possible so I don't get close to anyone.
I eventually fell asleep on the counter and woke up in the evening. I blinked my eyes open and looked up at the ceiling.
Burt walked over to me as well as two other guys. One of the guys looked like a vampire, pale and sassy looking. The other boy looked like some sort of ghost or something.
"Hey boys, what did I miss?"
They all looked at each other and then back at me. Most of them had dark colored eyes, Burt's eyes were the lightest colored ones.
"Are you going to go hunting or not? You are the leader of the group after all, we need you," the ghost explained a bit impatiently and I jumped off the counter.
My red shirt didn't go past my stomach in length and I noticed they were staring.
"Yeah sure, but I'd rather do the leading today and not the job," I replied and they all nodded in agreement.
We headed out of the barn and it was a bit chilly outside. I had my leather jacket on by this point but it was still cold. There were four people besides me. The group of boys and a girl who seemed to be a zombie or something like that.
We walked out to a road and waited the. Surprisingly, I knew exactly how this would go down. We would wait for a car to approach and then one of us would fall in front of the road so the human would stop the car and we would eat them. Then, the stronger members of the group would tug the car away for further use.
It took about half an hour for a car to approach. The wind howled in the night and our hair swayed happily. We quickly vacillated between who should be the person on the road and we decided it would be Burt since he looked the most human.
He ran out in front of the car and it stopped as planned. The car was dark blue, almost navy blue but lighter than that. The man inside had dark skin and short black hair that was almost like a buzz cut. He walked out to see if Burt was okay. He wore blue jeans and a button up black shirt. Burt launched himself at the man and bit into his neck where the vain of life was, killing him quickly. Burt had yellow dog eyes at this point. Of course! He as a werewolf!
He dragged over the body and we devoured it quickly. We left the legs and arms and dragged them back to the barn. The whole squad consisted of me, Burt, the other vampire guy, the ghost guy, the zombie girl, a demon girl, and a little werewolf boy who seemed like a young teenager. We gave the arms and legs to the other two that decided not to go. The demon Didn't eat much, the hands, so she tossed the rest to the boy.
I wonder where we found the boy.
"Isn't he growing up fast? I can remember when you were still cradling in your arms. I wish we were in a better relationship, maybe we could go on a date or something..." Burt rambled on and I almost threw up.
That kid was mine and Burt's.
Don't hyperventilate, Becky, you're fine. Take it easy.
I looked up at the tall and handsome werewolf with very dramatic looking eyes and hugged him. I was actually happy about it after a minute but I knew he would die in the dream. I was still happy though.
I didn't really believe him though. I would be extremely surprised if I was dumb enough to have a kid with Burt. He wasn't dad material. He also hated kids, feeding kids, changing a baby's diaper, or taking them places. He was much more of a solo person with a girl on his side. I was sort of the same. I wasn't much of a mother since I was always busy. Especially in these dreams. It would be very difficult to take care of a baby.
"Uh, I'll take that as I yes," he laughed it off and hugged me back.
After a minute I let go and told Burt I would ask the kid if he was okay. I remember his name, it's Drake.
I sat down next to the boy. He looked half my age but I knew very well that kids of the supernatural type age quickly and then slow down the process greatly when adults. He was still growing, that's all.
He had smokey black hair with brown highlights. He was a nice boy and smiled when I first approached him.
"Hey. Thanks for the catch. It tastes great," he greeted me. He started eating a knee and I laughed in happiness.
He wore a grey sweatshirt and black skinny jeans. He was hairy like Burt but looked more like me otherwise. He broad shoulders and slightly muscular limbs. I would estimate about fourteen in human years.
"No problem. You should come with more often, hunting that is."
He stopped eating and looked up at me.
"You said I wasn't ready two days ago."
Oh yeah...
"I'm reconsidering. You seem strong enough."
He smiled and nodded in agreement. Then, he finished his meal and we both stood up. It was still only the evening.
"Hey, Burt, want to go the hill nearby and stargaze?" I asked and Burt agreed.
We left the rest of the group to get food and we headed out. We turned a sharp left during this road to a nice open field that was slightly elevated. We walked to the center and toppled over in the center. The moon was bright and Jupiter was the brightest star in the sky. I could point out many constellations right off the bat but decided not to show off or anything.
"Hey, Burt, how do you feel about having a kid? It's kind of a big jump for us considering you hit me in my last dream."
I looked over as we were laying next to each other. He looked over also and gave a slight smile.
"Im fine with it. I've always wanted a true family with you. I know I've been a jerk lately but I hope we can just start fresh like how the dreams are."
I nodded and sat up. I stared at the moon and he did so too. I could tell he really wanted to change into a full werewolf. I wondered what he would look like too.
"Go ahead, big boy, but be a good doggy!" I chuckled.
He smirked widely and started growing more hair. He grew a snout and large ears. He grew a fluffy tail and grew claws on his finger tips. He just looked like a dog that stood on hind legs. He looked over and hipped, almost barked, at me. He looked like a normal dog that could stand on their hind legs. He was an almost black dog, like a dark brown. It was pretty cute though. I really wanted to just hug him and smile away the pain I feel deep inside of me.
I leaned forward and rubbed noses with him. His nose was large and black, like most dogs. He seemed to enjoy the dog treatment so I stood up and motioned for him to run around. He gratefully accepted the invitation and started running around the field. I tried to follow him at first but not surprisingly, vampires can't actually turn into bats, so I got tired pretty easily. I just ended up walking to the center of the field and watching him run around.
I could still taste the human blood I drank earlier and smiled brightly. It was nice being a vampire since I was so over the gross factor. I felt like I was the boss of everything which I loved. I was such a bossy person that I was happy to actually be a boss for once. Even being a captain in the third dream wouldn't compare to being the leader of a smaller group.
When it was very dark Burt ran over and changed back into a human. His hair shredded off onto the ground and his claws were shedded off in a way also. He returned to normal except his clothes was a bit more ripped.
"That was great! I had so much fun," he cheered and hugged me.
I felt his nice warmth which was nice in the cool air. Then we let go of the hug and started walking back to the others. I bet they were wondering what we were up to.
When we got back the others welcomed us and tossed me a body that they found. They knocked him unconscious for me so the blood would taste better. As I sucked the man's blood out I smiled widely. Then, when the man was dead from blood loss I tossed it over to Burt to have first eat. The whole group ate the human and we partied outside the barn. We cracked open some bottles of beer and soda and started drinking. The whole party was great. We made a lot of noise and we heard police sirens approach but eventually leave in confusion. The police never found the barn area which was nice.
When it was near morning we went to sleep. I laid down in the hammock I usually sleep in and fell asleep easily. I wasn't tired or anything I was just so excited to rest and regenerate my strength. Sleeping was great, especially since I didn't do it much.
In the evening I woke up and this time the demon and ghost were gone. We weren't worried, apparently they liked each other or something so they were probably just outside.
We all walked out, I walked next to Burt and Drake. We couldn't see them in the yard at all and decided to look near the field. They weren't there...
Then, when we were walking back, the demon girl ran out.
"They took him! The humans would him and dragged him away. I managed to get away and found my way back to him. They killed him on the spot!" She cried and the vampire boy hugged her.
We tried to calm her down and have her explain more.
"Well he had woken me up and told me to follow him. I agreed and walked outside with him. He grabbed me and we y'know..." Her voice trailed off for a moment, "then some humans came and we tried running but it was too late they got him!" She spoke too fast near the end for some of us to understand.
We felt pretty bad for her since she loved him so much. I know I would go crazy if I lost Burt. He would go crazy if he lost me too.
We gave her a beer and got her drunk enough that she didn't remember who she was. We went out to hunt for humans, especially the cops that killed the ghost guy.
This time the group was just Burt, a Drake, and I. We left the vampire guy to be alone with the demon girl (her name is Alice by the way). When we made it to the road it was completely empty as always. We waited for a car, which took about ten minutes, and prepared. We decided to have Drake go out for once.
The young boy ran in front of the white car and it stopped as expected. The woman ran out to see if Drake was okay and he tackled her to the ground, biting her neck on the opposite side that I would drink from.
He dragged the body over proudly. He ran his fingers through the quiff in his hair and then proudly smirked.
"I'm pretty good at this. Are you guys proud?" He chuckled and tossed the body to Burt. I walked over to Drake and hugged him tightly.
"Aw my little boy is growing up!" I sneered and nudged him away playfully.
We devoured most of the body and left some for Alice and the other vampire.
We came back and the vampire ran to us.
"Alice is dead! The police came back and shot her!"
He pointed to a dead body on the ground. Blood surrounded the body, oozing everywhere. Alice was a demon though so she could escape into another body. I'm almost positive she'll just posses someone else and come back.
"It's okay, Andrew, just take a deep breath! She's okay, she's a demon, remember?"
He nodded slowly and his normally slicked back black hair was now a huge mess that looked somewhat like an Afro. His pale skin was even paler until it was a pasty white.
We all finished the body off, eating it happily. Burt and Drake ate the body while Andrew and I sucked out the blood. When we finished off the body we disposed of the bones and then had a meeting.
"Okay here's the thing. We've lost one and a half people already and we can't lose more. We need to stay together at all times alright?" I explain. I ordered them to never split up from the group.
About an hour later we were preparing to get another human and this girl came back. She had purple dyed hair and many piercings.
"Hey, it's Alice..." She murmured grumpily and plopped herself down next to us.
We asked her what she knew and what happened but she didn't know much. She didn't know who the police were or how they found us.
We decided not to care that much and went out on a group hunt. We were going to hunt the police through. The best part about being a vampire was that we can't die from guns. Same with werewolves except they have to worry about silver bullets.
As we ventured out it was around midnight. The road to the highway was quiet as always but had a ghostly feel. There was a bit of fog that rolled in and took your breath away. It was hot and humid, so we all wore sleeveless shirts (we cut the sleeves out). The trees shook quickly whenever the wind picked up. The wind caused my slightly long hair to be messed up a bit which annoyed me. Then, when we were about halfway we heard a twig break and then some footsteps. We all force and looked around. Alice offered to check it out but that wasn't w good idea since she could easily die (the human body would). I decided to do it along with the other vampire since the only way a vampire could die was by decapitating them. We looked around at the trees and then we approached a big one. There were rustling noises behind it so we were sure someone was there. We jumped out on both sides and they shot at Andrew since he was noticed first. I killed the two officers, both tall men with black hair. Andrew fell to the ground in pain.
"God, they got like five shots in me!" He shouted and I helped him up.
We devoured the two officers on the spot, Andrew and I sucked the blood from one person each. Then, Burt and Drake at the torso and head until it was mostly bones and cartilage. Alice ate the feet and hands but she didn't eat much since apparently she stew the souls of the dead too.
We continued on without saying much to each other. We didn't talk because it wasn't really the time to, it would just be awkward small talk. It was sort of emotionally hard to walk closer to the road though. Andrew was in pain and Alice helped him which looked really sad for some reason. She was a nice demon usually and had only killed one person while being with us. It was almost as if she just wanted to not be a demon. The fact that fate still treated her like a demon and got someone she loved to die was the sad park. She didn't deserve to have the ghost guy die. In fact, I bet she liked Andrew too. She looks at Andrew like a friend that's developing feelings. She takes care of him like a girlfriend but he doesn't notice. She even helped rip out the bullets from him so the wounds would heal easier.
We made it three fourths of the way to the highway and heard more noises. This would probably be three people. I said that Burt should come along with Andrew and I. I knew Andrew was still in pain but we had to do this.
We heard them at three different trees and approached at different angles. We were smart, we knew that there was no possibility of getting hit by accident if we went in from certain angles. We got close to the trees and charged at the humans. I bit into a mans neck, he was a bit shorter with blonde hair. The others had girls with brown hair. They shot at us but I was only shot at once. The bullet wound stung for about three seconds and went away. We decided to hide these bodies for later and completely covered them with leaves.
"Alright we should be at the highway soon," Drake said and smiled proudly. He was excited to be included for once.
We all nodded and took out the bullets from our bodies. Burt asked for help with his bullet wound. He had a chest wound and I smirked.
"Of course, my sweet," I giggled a bit.
I dug my fingers into his flesh and ripped out the tiny bullet. His large muscles flexed as soon as I stuck my fingers into his chest but it looked nice, obviously. What girl doesn't like some muscles?
"Alice are you okay?" Andrew asked and the short purple haired girl nodded.
We all caught our breath and relaxed for a while, only a few moments.
Burt encouraged Drake to howl but he was nervous. He thought he would sound like a baby. Eventually, he gave up and let out a loud and strong sounding howl. It wasn't as full or as manly as Burt's but it was pretty close. I was proud of my son. He was surprisingly very talented. I can't believe that I ignored him before the dream.
We made it to the road and there were a few cop cars. We decided to crush the navigation systems so that no one could find us again. We found stones and crushed the tiny little boxes in the cars, more like thin rectangular prisms. When we were done we started heading back. We were all still intact which was good. We successfully walked through the eerie forest and made it back to the barn. There was some people there though.
"Hello there. I felt a friend die near here by some humans and we thought there were some other supernatural being around. I guess we were right," stated a tall man.
The man was very handsome and attractive, more than Burt, but he had a huge snarky attitude when he talked. He was about as tall as Burt. His pitch black hair was in a sort of bowl shape around his head. It made him look a lot younger and less mature than his face. He had deep red eyes and very defined cheekbones. He wasn't as muscular as Burt but that was expected. He was probably a sector of some sort, possibly a demon or reaper. I wasn't too sure... Sectors don't have red eyes.
There was also two others in their group. Two other girls.
One of the girls was a brunette. She was a bit taller than me and looked a bit more fit than me too. She had broad shoulders like boys would and wide hips. Her hourglass figure was intense and very pretty which made me jealous. She also had pretty good cheekbones. She looked quite a bit like the man so I was sure they were siblings. She had more purple eyes though.
The other girl was blonde and short like me. She had a scrawny figure and innocent look. She looked pretty sad and upset but still very pretty. Still prettier than me probably...
"Who are you guys?!" I growled a bit.
"I'm Sawyer. This is my sister Scarlet," he pointed to the brunette, "and that's a friend. Her name's Bunny," he pointed to the blonde girl.
I was probably staring at Sawyer too much which wasn't good for Burt but then I realized he was staring at Bunny. I nudged Burt angrily and he stopped staring.
"Um, if it's no problem, could we stay here for a while? We've been looking for a good group to stay with..."
We all looked at each other suspiciously but agreed. Supernatural being were always nice to each other so there was no reason to be afraid.
We all headed out to the three bodies we buried. There were no police officers this time, just the stillness of nature. It was actually quite beautiful, seeing all the trees and leaves mesh together. Although it was early fall the leaves were still mostly green. Some trees do shed early thigh and their leaves are already on the ground.
We made it to the extra bodies and ate them. The Andrew and I sucked blood first to make sure we were full first. Then Burt, Drake, and Alice ate the bodies.
It was strange when Sawyer, Scarlet, and Bunny ate. They just stepped up and muttered some words that seemed to give them more life. They were most lively reapers now that I thought about it. Except Bunny. She didn't do anything. She probably didn't need to eat or something like that.
"What supernatural beings are you guys?" I asked politely so they wouldn't get mad.
"My brother and I are reapers and Bunny is a shapeshifter. She's mostly a cat though, not a bunny!" Scarlet chuckled.
Bunny seemed embarrassed by at and looked away. I saw Burt staring again and it made me want to slap him. I know how guys like him are. They're loyal when they want to be, and that's not good enough for me.
I nodded in response to Scarlet and we all started walking back. It was practically morning, the sun was peeking through and we were all eager to get to sleep. We got into the barn and prepared to sleep. We told some stories, made some jokes, and got snuggled up into our hammocks. We didn't have enough for the others so Alice slept with Andrew in one hammock. That was cute, I had to admit. I wanted to suggest Burt and I but the fact that he didn't suggest us made me angry.
In the early evening I woke up and yawned. I looked around at the darkness and smiled.
Oh no!
I saw that Burt and Bunny were missing from their hammocks. I ran to the open part of the barn where the bar was and the other furniture we have. Burt was laying on a couch with Bunny on top, fully clothes but still.
My eyes probably widened so much that they were popping out of my head. How could he do that to me? We have Drake! Even he was the one to suggest a date earlier...
I walked up to him and kicked Burt in the thigh really hard. He groaned and slowly opened his eyes.
"Becky! Oh my gosh!..." He whispered in fright and threw Bunny off himself.
Bunny yelped in pain as she landed on her rear. She seemed surprised at what had happened.
"What's going on...?" The girl asked and looked up at me with concern.
"What's going on?! Burt WAS my boyfriend! Drake is our child!" I shouted and woke everyone else up.
The others gathered around as if a fight would start. Honestly, Bunny was innocent. She didn't know. But Burt? How rude!
"I'm so sorry, Becky, I didn't know..."
I shook my head slowly to show her that it was okay. She quickly stood up and ran to the others, hugging Scarlet to feel better.
I kicked Burt again and he growled, standing up.
"Do you want to fight or something?!"
"No, I want to kick you out! You cheated on me! We have a kid!"
Drake was watching sadly and looked away. Andrew and Alice seemed to comfort him actually. They are probably better parents than Burt and I.
Burt growled and clenched his fists. I even prepared for him to punch me because that's what it looked like he was going to do.
"Can we talk, Becky? Outside and privately?" He asked and I shrugged.
He grabbed my arms and started pulling me outside. I struggled against him but by the time I was able to break free we were outside.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! You were the one that cheated on me and now you expect me to forgive you? Is that it? Well I have news for you! You're not getting any of me ever again!" I growled and snapped my finger sassily.
I have to admit I was being harsh it he deserved it.
He looked away and sighed.
"I admit, it was wrong of me. But in my defense, I couldn't really help myself. When I heard that she was mostly a shapeshifter into a cat it kind of made her a lot more attractive. It's a werewolf thing..." His voice trailed off.
That was not a good excuse.
"I still refuse to forgive you."
He nodded slowly and started walking away. He probably needed time to think and maybe he would give a better apology later. I walked back to the group and remained silent. They asked if we should hunt and I told the reaper siblings and Bunny to go hunt to show their skills.
I sat down on my hammock sadly and thought for a long time. Andrew and Alice were standing against the bar drinking so they weren't a problem. Drake was what was bothering me.
He walked up to me and sat down next to me.
"Is Burt gone forever?"
I shook my head and hugged him. He seemed so innocent, why did this have to happen to him.
When I let go of the hug I started to whisper.
"Would you rather have Alice and Andrew take care of you from now on? Like adoption? You probably want more than just me."
He chuckled and shook his head.
"Of course not! You're my mom and I want it to stay that way!" He replied and I smiled.
I was glad that everything was still okay with all of us.
An hour later, the three new people came back with four dead humans. Two were boys and two were girls. All were some sort of policemen.
We feasted as usual and when we were done we disposed of the bones easily. I bet Burt would starve pretty easily out there by himself.
We gathered as a group to have a discussion. We needed to make some things clear.
"Alright, first of all we need to make sure we're all comfortable here. So I compiled some rules in my head and I hope you all agree with them. I think the most important one is that we get to know each other. We should all talk about each other for a bit."
So we did that. I found out that Andrew was an orphan since birth, Alice was a nice demon that used her powers for the benefit of others, Drake really loved drawing, Sawyer was a model before people found out he was a reaper, Scarlet did gymnastics before people found out she was a reaper, and Bunny hates winter. It was a good activity and I think we all connected more. It seemed elementary but I'm sure it helped. Eventually, we got into deep conversations and we really got to know each other by then. We talked about our pasts.
So apparently my past is that I as abandoned by my parents when I was Drake's and I ran away to this barn. When I grew up people started coming here and we formed a group. How interesting...
The newcomers are going to go on another hunting trip so the rest of us went inside the barn. It was windy and chilly outside, not as warm as the last few days. Burt came back and I just ignored him. He went to sleep early on his hammock and I just sat down on the bar table. I grabbed a beer and prepared for him to start yelling at me or something like that. He would probably lash out at me or something.
Near morning the newcomers brought back two people and we devoured them to the bone. There was a lot of us so it wasn't surprising that we needed so much food.
When we all went to sleep the night was peaceful. There were a few sounds, some stirs if you will. But in the morning I wouldn't be very happy at all.
I yawned as always and stretched out. I checked the hammocks. Burt and Bunny were still in their hammocks. But then I noticed that Drake wasn't in his hammocks. I panicked because Drake was the only thing I cared about anymore. I ran around the barn and couldn't find him. Then, I ran outside. He wasn't there. There was just a breeze that snickered at my sadness.
"Drake?!" I shouted.
No reply at all. Nothing.
I ran around the barn and there was nothing.
I ran back inside the barn and woke everyone up. Burt seemed to care the least which hurt the most.
The whole group looked around the barn but we couldn't find him. It was horrible. I remember crying so much and just hating everything. I still don't understand why life is testing me with pain. It already know I'm not good with pain.
Eventually, we all gathered together and decided to look near the highway. Perhaps th cops took him.
We got about halfway when a young female cop jumped in front of us with a pistol pointed at my face.
"I goddamn swear, you give me back my son or I'll kill you so slowly..."
Burt held me back and grabbed my arm, which I proceeded to tug away.
"I want to but you do realize it's my duty to protect humanity, right? You lot are killing innocent people," the police woman spoke.
She had light brown curly hair that went down to her stomach. Her eyes were a light green and her body was irregularly shaped as if she has had to adjust to being thinner.
I panted heavily since my body was ready to kill this human.
"Give my son back. Please. We have emotions too, okay? I love my son."
The officer cringed when she shook her head. She understood that it was morally wrong to take away someone's child but she was probably ordered to do it.
"I can't give you back your child so you might as well kill me if that's what you're planning on doing."
I thought for a while and clenched my fists. I grabbed the woman by the arms, ripped the gun out of her hand, and pinned her against a tree. I lifted her up slightly so she dangled in my grip.
I studied her. She had a wedding ring on.
"Would you really like me to kill you? Because it would be so nice to have your husband know that you got your blood sucked by a vampire."
The police officer didn't like that very much.
"It doesn't matter, I don't care," she muttered bravely.
I felt sympathy for her. I was dealing with Burt, after all, so I didn't care if I were to die.
"Please give me back my son. I'm begging. We promise not to kill your precious humans anymore."
That was a complete and funny mislead. I almost felt bad for saying that but I didn't care.
She nodded and I let go. She started walking along the road and I held her by the upper arm the whole time. If she tried to run or kill me I could easily bite her neck off.
She lead us to a road where there were other cops and I gripped the officer by the waist as if she was shield.
"Can't over my kid in return for this human. We also promise not to hurt anymore humans."
The other officers pointed guns immediately and seemed like they were going to shoot. One officer did shoot Scarlet but the bullet didn't do anything and seemed to melt away.
"None of us can die from gunshot so I expect you all to follow my instructions very carefully."
They all nod and look at each other. The fog made my vision obscure so I couldn't tell their facial expressions from this far away but I think they understood well.
One of the old looking males went to a police car and grabbed Drake out of it. They uncuffed him but before he could attack them the old man stabbed him with a silver knife.
I shrieked and screamed so loud that I couldn't hear a few moments after that. The whole group started killing the cops, there were about eight cops. When they were all dead I tried helping Drake up but he was too weak. He kept mumbling about how it was his time but I couldn't let it happen. Deep sadness flooded my eyes in the form of tears and I cried into Drake's shoulder. He was already falling limp but I couldn't let him go. They all helped clean his wound and apply pressure so he wouldn't bleed but he was dying too quickly.
"Mother... I love you..." He hugged me tightly.
I cried harder and squeezed him in the hug. I couldn't let him go. My chance at having a son as pulverized before my eyes.
