"This is all wrong. He shouldn't be there, I should" I jolted up right in bed. Harry was still fast asleep.
I looked around the room. A sharp intake of breath and I saw him. Josh. He was sitting casually on the window sill. One leg was bent and resting on the wooden pane and the other was draped off the side. Slowly swinging back and forth. His foot skimming the carpet.
He turned to face me as the moonlit sky cast eerie shadows on his pale face.
He stood up and walked towards me. My whole body stiffened as he extended and arm to my face. He cupped my cheek in his icy hand, sending shivers down my spine..
"Your mine, not his. That's how it's supposed to be. That's how it will be" He whispered huskily before disappearing. I scanned the room frantically.
"I wanted to go. I wanted to rest but they wouldn't let me. Said I had work to finish" I could hear his voice but he was no where to be seen.
"They said I couldn't leave until I had what I came into this world for. It took me a while to figure it out, but once I realized what it was. I knew how to get it." He re-appeared standing over Harry in an almost smoke like state.
"Wh...what do you n.. need?" I stuttered.
"There's only one thing standing in the way of what I need. Well, what I want" He smirked, his eyes not once leaving Harry's peaceful body.
Josh whipped a gun from thin air and placed the barrel against Harry's temple. "NO!" I screamed and shut my eyes at the click of the trigger followed by the deafening shot.
"Shh, shh" I slowly opened my eyes. I was curled into a ball on Harry's lap. My body was covered with sweat and tears. "It was just a dream" Harry whispered into my hair as he stroked my forehead.
I sat up and kissed Harry with relief. "Woah" He chuckled. I was now lying on top of him as he lay down.
"You okay?" He furrowed his eyebrows.
"I.. I thought he kill...killed you" I sounded as though I was panting because my breathing had become erratic during that nightmare. Second one in a row. Actually, I think the first one was more of a hallucination than a dream, it still scared the shit out of me anyway.
"What? Who?" He propped himself up on his only usable elbow. I sat up so I was straddling him.
"Josh" I whispered and leant forwards so my head was on his neck.
"It was just a dream babe, okay? He's in a place where he can't hurt anyone anymore" Harry tried to re assure me but something inside me wasn't listening to what he had to say.
"He's still here, He told me he can't leave until he has what he came here for" I ran my finger gently across the bandage on my thigh and looked down.
Harry pulled my head up with his index finger to make me look at him. "What's that?" He sounded worried and angry at the same time.
"I don't know" I said with shame.
"It's alright babe, how about you go make me some breakfast to make you feel better" he winked and smirked before kissing my cheek. I pushed his chest.
"To make you feel better you mean?" I raised my eyebrow. Harry could always make me feel better, even though he's cheeky. I love that about him though, he's not afraid to use his curly charm on anyone.
He pulled puppy dog eyes at me. I sighed. "Fine, what do you want?" I rolled my eyes dramatically at him.
"Bacon and eggs?" He shrugged his shoulders and flashed me the cheesiest grin.
