Chapter Sixteen: Christmas Shopping
Max Thunderman POV

It was now 11:45 in the morning on Friday, December 19th, and Mom, Dad, Carly, Phoebe, Billy, Nora, and I had just arrived at the new mall in Swellview that we all planned to go to, The Swellview Mall. Once Dad had finally found a parking spot, we all hoped out of our red, rental mini van. The mall was huge! It looked as if it had a hundred stores and was three-stories-tall! The mall was painted with a bright-yellow color. At the entrance, there was a huge, concrete patio, huge, glass automatic doors, several plants, several benches, several chairs, and above the automatic doors, there was a light-up sign that read, "THE SWELLVIEW MALL" in huge, capital, white letters. At the entrance, there was a huge line of people, patiently waiting to get inside. In that huge line of people, I was somehow able to spot Sam, Cat, Goomer, Nona, Dice, Freddie, Spencer, Gibby, Frankie, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, a short man with dark-green eyes and brown hair, whom I assumed was Mr. Preston, a short boy with light-brown hair and green eyes, whom I assumed was Miles, and an even shorter boy with dirty-blonde hair and light-green eyes, whom I assumed was Louie.

"Oh, there they are!" I exclaimed, as I pointed towards Sam, Cat, Goomer, Nona, Dice, Freddie, Spencer, Gibby, Frankie, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, Mr. Preston, Miles, and Louie.

"Where!?!?" Mom, Dad, Phoebe, Carly, Nora, and Billy asked, as their eyes began to follow the direction that my finger was pointing in.

"Right there!"

"Oh, I see them now!" Billy announced, as he started to run up towards the huge crowd of people, "Hey, Frankie, Louie, Taylor, Miles, Mr. Preston, Ms. Hathaway, Goomer, Nona, Sam, Cat, Dice, Spencer, Gibby, Freddie, wait up!"

"Hey, don't run too fast, Billy!" Nora shouted at him, as she started to run after him.

"Oh, don't worry, Nora!" Billy assured Nora over his shoulder, "I'm not!"

"But, still! Wait for me!"

"Hey, Nora, Billy!" Phoebe exclaimed, "We're supposed to stay together, so we won't get lost!"

"Then, catch up with us, slow pokes!" Nora shouted to us over her shoulder.

Mom, Dad, Carly, Phoebe, and I all shrugged, then ran up towards the entrance of the mall to catch up with Nora and Billy, so we did not lose them.

"Hey, Mr. and Mrs. Thunderman, Carly, Phoebe, Max, Billy, and Nora!" Freddie, Gibby, Spencer, Dice, Sam, Cat, Goomer, Nona, Louie, Frankie, Miles, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, and Mr. Preston greeted us, once we caught up with everybody at the entrance of the mall.

"Hey, Freddie, Gibby, Spencer, Dice, Sam, Cat, Goomer, Nona, Louie, Frankie, Miles, Taylor, Ms. Hathaway, and Mr. Preston!" We greeted them back.

"So, when are they going to let us in!?!?" Sam asked, "I'm getting really impatient!"

"Yeah, me too!"

"Taylor, what time did you say that the mall was opening again?" Ms. Hathaway asked, "I forget."

"It's opening at 12:00," Taylor answered.

"Well, then they should let us in around then," Nona stated.

"Ugghh, hopefully they let us in sooner!" Sam groaned, "I hate waiting!"

"Me too!" Frankie, Louie, Nora, Spencer, and I all agreed.

"Now, you guys have to be patient!" Mom told us, "I know that you guys really want to catch the vandals. but still! Be patient!"

"Umm, I don't think that's why they're impatient, Mrs. Thunderman," Cat stated, "I think that they just want to get presents!"
