I lead Archie into the woods, zipping through trees letting my body take control.

Reaching my destination I stop abruptly and Archie rams into me.

"Look up" I say after we have finally recovered.

"What do you- whoa" He exclaims astonished.

We climb up the stairs to my three story tree house.

(Veronica's treehouse)

"My dad hired people to make this treehouse before we moved in. This was always our escape town, and he believed that I needed an escape too. So he had other people build it for me so that he didn't know where it was." I explain to Archie, as we reach the top floor.

"That's super nice, I wish my dad had enough time to do that, but he's too busy working at the construction company and taking care of me."

"Where's your mom?" I ask him.

"She died a few years back. She was coming home from California on a business trip and the plane crashed." He says after a moment of silence.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know. If I did I wouldn't have brought it up." I state, apologetically.

"It's fine it happened when I was a freshman." He looks as if he's about to cry,  like he's never talked about it to someone. Without thinking, I shuffle over to him, and hug him. He desperately hugs me back, crying into my shoulder.

"I just miss her so much, and I never told anyone how I felt, because no one cared." He sobbed.

"Archie, look at me." I demanded. Slowly he looked up at me. "People do care about you. Your dad cares about you. I care about you. Your friends care about you."

"I don't think I really have friends." He says in a small voice. This shocked me, of course he does. Almost reading my mind he says. "All my so called friends are only my friends because I'm the quarterback. They don't know me, and support me."

"Well, tomorrow, my friends and I are going to hang out at my place. Do you want to come? I could give you the directions."

"Sure I'll come, say are you friends with Betty Cooper?"

"Yes but don't start liking her now, she already has a soulmate."

"Jughead I'm guessing?"

"How'd you know?"

"Oh well one time I was picking them up from your house, because I'm an Uber driver, and Jughead was carrying Betty out to my car, and they called each other Betts and Juggie. Also when Jughead left, Betty in her drunken state proceeded to tell me that she 'really likes her Juggie,' and that she's going to marry him someday."

"Awww. Okay well, you probably know where my house is then, but one more question."

"What?"

"Do you ship Betty and Jug?"

"Ship?"

"Like do you like them as a couple?"

"Oh yes of course. I think they're perfect for each other. I never liked Betty that way, but she was my tutor earlier in the year, and last year I tried being her friend but her mom threatened me that if I keep befriending I will hear from Mrs. Cooper herself. Damn her mom is crazy."

"Oh yeah, Betty actually left to go stay with Toni, who is another one of our friends."

"Oh cool. Isn't she the pink haired one?"

"Yeah."
