"Okay, the X10s are online." Leonard said, fixing the gadget to the lamp. He was crocked by the lamp, Howard on the armchair and Raj, Sheldon and Liz on the couch.

"Gentlemen, I am now about to send a signal from this laptop through our local ISP, racing down fibre-optic cable at the speed of light to San Francisco, bouncing off a satellite in geosynchronous orbit to Lisbon, Portugal, where the data packets will be handed off to submerged transatlantic cables terminating in Halifax, Nova-Scotia, and transferred across the continent via microwave relays back to our ISP and the X10 receiver attached to this," he clicked the mouse and the lamp lit up, "-lamp." As he had spoke, the intensity and need of breath increased (and the laughter in the audience also became louder).

Leonard stood. The gang all applauded and were all showing a vigorous jubilance that filled the room.

Sitcom laughter and applause

"Look at me, look at me, I've got goose-bumps!" Sheldon exclaimed in a seldom elated fashion.

"Are we ready on the stereo?" Howard yelled.

"Go for stereo!" Liz said and Raj nodded enthusiastically. She didn't have any earplugs in, as she wanted the full experience for this magical experience. Howard clicked the mouse again and 2001: A Space Odyssey's 'Main Title' played over the speakers.

Raj stood, Howard attempted to hide his over-the-top beaming smile, Howard gestured and Sheldon was alert. Liz was licking her lips in an aroused fashion, holding her hands together in ecstatic plea. "I think I just came in my red-check-pants." She squirmed. Her hair was up in a large toothed clip along with three bold glossy-black hair-slides.

Sitcom laugh

When the trumpets' riff came, they all jumped up, and made fanfare gestures and they all hummed loudly along with it. When the drums followed, they made erratic movements of drumming, Sheldon and Raj jumping around like monkeys as they did so and Howard drummed on his chest like King-Kong.

Penny entered and watched the scene, agape, she smiled awkwardly. "Hey, guys."

'Hi's and 'hello's were brought as responses and they all stood in line, in front of the cream chair, albeit Leonard was still behind, by the lamp.

Sitcom giggle

"It's a little loud." She said over the music.

"No problem, turning it down." Howard smiled awkwardly and he and Sheldon sat simultaneously, Liz, Raj and Leonard leaning over and standing to see the screen. Howard clicked the mouse for the third time that afternoon. "San Francisco, Lisbon, Halifax," the music got quieter, "-et voila."

"Since when were the nerds ever told that by the cheerleader?" Liz joked. (Sitcom laugh). "'Music's too loud, turn it down'!" She said before chuckling.

Sitcom chuckle

"Okay, thanks." She exited and went to close the door.

"Hang on, hang on," Leonard had a voice crack whilst scampering towards her, "do you not realise what we just did?"
