Maeson was always very confident when it came to herself. She understood that she was indeed single, but she also knew that just because she was single didn't mean that the male population at her school wasn't interest in her, because it was quite the opposite. It was just difficult to get a guy to take the risk of dating you when your father was a sort of crazy. But her Dad's craziness was a trait she loved, and she knew that in the end, her heart would be set free within the kisses and affection of her best friend, Jackson.

Or so she hoped.

But at any rate, the confidence Maeson had stored up seemed slowly drain away as they got closer and closer to Maeson's house. Looking at Stiles, she remembered the first time she met Stiles.

"That's a weird name." Maeson stated, standing in front of a very young 12 year old Stilinski. "How do you say it?" She asked and Stiles sighed, pushing his name tag to the ground, irritated and tired. Maeson frowned, pushing her hair behind her ears before picking the name tag back up. "My name is Maeson, but it's not spelled like Mason, or May-son, but like M-A-E-son."

He looked at her for a moment before sitting up. "I like your name." He sat quietly. "It's different."

"Yea, well I wish I could say the same but you haven't told me yours." Feeling quite smart, Maeson placed her hands on her hips with a smile. Stiles gave her a look over before snorting. "I mean, I hear Scott call you Stiles, so I mean, I like that name."

"Really?" Stiles perked up and Maeson nodded. "Why?" He glowered.

"Cause there's no one else in the world with your name!" Maeson blushed as the class looked at her for moment."Or your real name. It's a name that no one could forget, Sally omg remember that Stiles guy" She jumped to the left to answer herself. "Of course, with a cool name like that, who'd forget?" She then jumped to the right. "I know right, dude was so totally like cool!"

"If it's so cool then how come you forgot it?" Stiles mused and Maeson raised her eyebrow, confused.

"We've been going to school together since Pre-K." Maeson coughed, blushing madly.

"Um, well."Maeson thought.

"Because it was so totally cool that it slipped my mind." Stiles chuckled.

"Yea alright."

"I swear!"

"Maeson do I need to send you the office?"

"No ma'am."

"God I hate that song." Stiles switched the radio and Maeson blinked, she stared at him a while longer before turning and pressing her forehead against the window. "You okay?" He asked and Maeson hummed. Stiles stared at her for a moment before turning back to the road.

"Stiles." Maeson cleared her throat.

"Yes great ole buddy of mine." Stiles cheesed and Maeson laughed.

"Why do you like Lydia?"

Without thinking, Stiles shot back, "Why do you like Jackson?" The car seemed to settle in silence, a slight uncomfortable tension heighted.

"Sorry." He mumbled but Maeson said nothing, she kept her eyes on the passing houses as Stiles pulled into her driveway. Maeson unbuckled her seat belt, looking around for a bit before getting out, the beast from last night still had her a bit weary. Stiles followed her to her porch, stepping back as she whizzed around.

"Stiles how do you know where I live?" Maeson asked and Stiles chuckled nervously, his pale cheeks turned a slightly rosy pink. "Do you know where everyone lives or something?" Maeson chuckled.
