"...yessir! I understand, I will tell the young master about the decision. I'll call you again if I have questions about the mission," Sam ended his call to their handler.
"Blunt have ordered Sherry for assisstance on our mission. What we need to do is to gather information and recruit people for our chain. But this would be difficult, the Nezzar's might notice our presence," Sam told Clint.
"No need to worry. If they belong to Nezzar, it would be an advantage. We could use that person as a mole, and provide him wrong information about us for him to give to the enemy faction. You know, sometimes the greed for money is stronger than loyalty. And not only money, we could tell him false promises that he can hold onto until the mission is accomplished. The only things that we could provide for now are safety and money, and if ever that person proved himself as a great asset, who knows maybe the organization might provide him the false promises we told him," Clint replied, reassuring Sam.
"If that's what you say. I have already hacked the school register, and I found some people we could recruit for our chain. Those candidates won't be suspected belonging to our chain, it's because they are either klutz or having a low academic performance."
"We could use some popular guys. They may unknowingly know someone that belongs to the Nezzars due to their popularity."
"If that's what you're looking for, I have Maren Presschire. She's the prettiest girl in our class, and well, she's a cheerleader."
"Hmm, I think that girl would be hard to get for us to work."
"I'll take care about that."
"And how?"
"Well, now that it has been announced about your engagement, we don't need to act as a lovey-dovey gay couple. I could use my captivating charm on her. Say, by making her my girlfriend or something."
"Hahaha! Don't make me laugh. You haven't got yourself a girlfriend since birth, the only relationship you have is our fake one. And our lovey-dovey relationship is not counted."
"Oh come on! Even what you say is true, I can still resort to that method. Besides, you told me to use our assets, and my whole being is my asset. I could definitely pull some strings."
"How about you ask Miss Smith for a date. She'll agree to it before you even finish asking her out?"
"She's another option."
"And also, could you recruit Michael Lodge from the other section? I heard that he's some kind of geek, a real deal hacker. Though not in our level, we could still find some use from him."
"Okay, he's definitely a low-profile one. How many people do we need for the chain?"
"Only ten. 7 students and 3 employees of the Hawthorn Academy, either they are professors or admins or whatever you deemed necessary."
"Sherry is already included, that makes it 2 other employees. For the student's I think you could use Artemis, now she had already accomplished the mission her father gave her."
"I don't know yet. But I'll consider that. If ever she's that girl, then I wouldn't want her to be involved in this dangerous mission of ours," replied Clint, reminiscing her past with the girl she had promised to. Only, his memories of that girl is vague, he can't even remember her face.
If she did have the thing that I gave that girl, then maybe she's the girl I want to marry, Clint thought to himself.
"Alright, how about you contact Sherry. We need to provide her the briefing as soon as possible," Clint gave his order to Sam.
"Yessir," replied Sam mockingly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, well. If it's not these two idiots we're cute then I wouldn't be here lending a hand," said Sherry mockingly.
"We'll take that as a complement then," replied Sam winking at Sherry.
"Okay then let's start with the briefing so please stop flirting, the two of you," interjected Clint. "As you all know, Nezzar is one of the big shots of the UG Mafia. Their illegal business which extends from drugs, human trafficking, weapons smuggling, and hacking government sites to creating disputes among nations for them to gain profit. One of the moles of Blunt has confirmed that their next campaign would be held here in Ontario, particularly here in Toronto. Well, that's why we're sent here. Through our moles and field officers, Hawthorn Academy was infiltrated by Nezzar's underlings through procedures of enrolling or applying in that school by faking legal papers."
"And having infiltrated the academy months ago, I am convinced that they have formed chains for counterintelligence and counterspies. With this situation, I think it is deemed appropriate to not move on our own, and I think that we should be preparing and recruiting people to be included in this plan of ours."
"Yeah, I've known about this. But guys, this would be harder than we think, especially that the academy itself was populated by minors. It is best suited to infiltrate the academy in a way to not involve those innocent people," replied Sherry.
"Then you are saying that we shouldn't be recruiting students and teachers to work for us?" Clint asked.
"As much as possible, but I think it would be harder if it's just the three of us working the plan," said Sherry.
"It's just as you said, it would be harder for just the three of us. So it leaves us no choice to recruit people," Sam joined in. "It would be better to have eyes and ears than to walk on a forest blindly."
"And besides we already have candidates for the chain," said Clint.
"Then I'll go for it, what's the plan?" agreed Sherry.
"The first thing to do is to take a look at the backgrounds of the candidates, to be able to make sure that they don't work for Nezzar as well as to make sure that they wouldn't be making a fuss about the infiltration. We have student candidates for the chain, I'm asking you Sherry to check out the professors and other employees. It would be better if we have people having administrative powers for easier access to information that we needed."
"And also, we need to find out who are the underlings. Blunt gave me information and pictures of the possible people involved with the Nezzar infiltration. And a week has passes that I haven't seen any of the person that I have been briefed. So I have assumed that after they have infiltrated the school they are now watching from the outside, letting their chains in here to work for them. If we could find and break their chain before the underlings notice anything it would be easier. So we need to check out the students and employees that might be working for Nezzar, and if we could recruit some of those, we could really get the information that we wanted and capture the underlings. We should have a mole in their chains, if they have 3 chains, then we should have a mole in each chains," explained Clint.
"So the only thing that we need to do is to check of people that is in the chain, recruit people for counterspies, infiltrate and break those chains, gather intel about the UG Mafia, and capture Nezzars underlings?" asked Sherry for confirmation.
"Yes that's it," Clint replied.
"I think it would be a lot of work. But seeing this is the only way for the mission, I think we should go for it. But I still have one question?" Sherry asked.
"What is it?"
"The last part of the mission, capturing the underlings. I think it's beyond our work. Remember that we're all intel here, we're not ops so I think we would lose from numbers and weapons. And I would not like to include the recruits to that part, I don't want to risk the lives of the innocent people," said Sherry.
"Don't worry, we wouldn't involve the recruits. Their job is not beyond information gathering. And about us, who told you that we're just intel?" asked Clint with a wicked grin on his face.
"What do you mean?"
"Did you hear about the Black Army?" asked Sam to Sherry.
"The organization's elite force of intel/ops department?" replied Sherry.
"We're the real deal," Sam said, with twinkling eyes.
