The Accident

Prologue

Ash took a walk and little did she know, that she'd be in the hospital later that night. 

Ash's POV

I took a walk to clear my mind. I walked for a little untill I heard an all too familiar sound. Gunshots. I heard shouting and screaming.  I heard people yelling behind me. I ran.

Then came the pain. I fell to the ground. I felt my stomach. I got shot.  I started coughing blood. Something hit my head, to the point where I felt blood going down my head. I grabbed my phone and looked through my contacts..

My vision was going in and out of focus, as I clicked on Colby's name.

Colby's POV

I opened my eyes and grabbed my phone. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Ash.

I answered

"Hello?"

"Colby? Jesus Christ. Get out here now!"

"Wait why?"

"Hurry! I'm getting lightheaded, and I don't know how much longer I can stay awake for"

"Where are you?"

I heard gunshots and yelling through her phone, and from outside.

"Ash? Where are you?!"

I jumped out of bed, putting Ash on speaker, quickly getting dressed.

"Ash, stay with me! Keep talking."

I grabbed my phone and rushed downstairs. My phone was still on speaker, so everyone downstairs heard.

"Colby, why do you look do panicked?" Sam asked me.

"Listen, Ash is in trouble. I heard gunshots and yelling on her end. I think shes hurt." I said sliding on my shoes.

"I'm coming with you." Sam said, sliding his shoes on.

I grabbed my keys and we got in my car.

We drove down the street until I saw police cars and multiple ambulances. I stopped my car and got out.

I ran to where people we rushing around. I saw in the shadows, a body.

"Dear god. Please don't let it be..." My words were cut off when I saw all too familiar black hair.

"Ash! Someone help!" I shouted.

Three paramedics rushed over and called over more until I saw her being loaded into an ambulance.

At the hospital

I ran inside. Right as I got inside, I saw them bringing in patients from the ambulances. Once I saw Ash, I felt like a small part of my heart broke.

I waited in the waiting room for a long time.

"Ashlyn Hills?" A nurse asked. I got up quickly and went over to her.
