: Flashback to when her mother was alive :
"Mère! Mère! Mère, look what I made!" a small, (H/C) haired, girl with (S/C) skin runs to her mother, who is sitting on a bench in the garden.
It was a calm, slightly windy, clear day in Paris, France. The clouds flow quietly across a luminous blue sky. The plants and trees in the (L/N) family garden sway slowly with the small, chilling breeze. Mrs. (L/N) and her husband, Lord (Father's name) (L/N), were sitting together on a cement bench, watching their daughter play happily with the birds and butterflies.
It was this beautiful summer day that would cause it all to go downhill.
"What is it, my dear chaton?" Mrs. (L/N) happily calls to (Y/N), the (L/N) child.
"I made you a flower crown!" young (Y/N) prances cheerfully over to her parents. She had found some wild daisies near the edge of the woods and weaved them into a lovely tiara for her mother.
"Oh, it's simply adorable, l'amour." (Mother's name) grins. (Y/N) places it on her head, crocked, causing her father to chuckle.
"My dear, fille, you will be an amazing woman when you're older. Boy's will fight for your hand in marriage and you will decline every single one." (Father's name) states. His wife rolls her eyes.
"Well, you'll decline all but one." (Mother's name) corrects. (Y/N) tilts her head in confusion.
"Which one, Mère?" the child asks. Her mother looks up to her father with a wide smile.
"There will come a man that will love you. And you will love him. You two will get married and live happily ever after. Like me and your father. " she picks up her daughter and places her on her lap.
"Who is that Momma? Who's my true love?"
Her mother looks at her with a loving and sincere beam. The wind blows and (Mother's name)'s hair, which was up in a tight bun, wobbles a bit. The flower crown flies off in the breeze.
"I'm not sure who he will be yet, but you will know when you find him."
(Y/N) smiles at her mother. They share a tight and warm hug before her mother breaks out into an intense coughing fit, dropping her daughter on the grass.
Lady (Mother's name) had been a bit sick for a while now. It was nothing too extreme so they never thought much of it. But lately, it had been getting worse and worse. She would cough up mucus and in some cases, bits of blood. Her usually bright blonde hair was thinning and turning much paler. Her skin was turning a pasty white.
She was ill, and they weren't sure how much longer she had.
"(Y/N) get (Butler's name) to call a doctor for your mother." (Father's name) says to his child. (Y/N) nods and runs inside.
(Father's name) brings her mother inside and lays her down on her bed. (Butler's name) contacts the doctor and they were on their way. Tiny little (Y/N) sat worried on the couch in her manors parlor.
'Mère, please be ok. I don't know what we'd do without you...' She thinks sadly, trying not to imagine life without her mom.
She watches the doctor rush in past her and up the stairs to her mother's room. She hears her mother's cries due to the intense pain they're feeling. She feels her heartbeat increase as she walks up the stairs to her mother's chambers. The cries stop as her father walks out of the room, his face in his hands.
