{7 years later. Ciel's P.O.V}
It's been seven years. Seven extremely long and boring years. I haven't been outside in a while. I don't eat very much. Sebastian says I need to forget (Y/N), but I can't. Like I told her, I'll never stop loving her. So why stop thinking of her? That's all I have left of her. Her beautiful smile, shining eyes, and soft hair, there all gone. But I can always remember.
She's been sending letters lately. Asking how I've been. I don't send any back. She told me her father has recently been ill. She thinks it's her fault. I want to comfort her. Tell her everything will be okay. But I'm scared. Scared to face her after my outburst seven years ago. I keep all of the letters she sends. Accept one.
She sent this one letter, around last year, telling me about a nice boy she met at a tea shop. I guess they went out for a little, talking and shopping together. But it didn't work out. Even if it wasn't meant to be for her, learning about a different man taking my place, filled me with envy. I wanted to be the man that got to hold her and make her smile. Fill her with pleasure and happiness. I want to give her the best life ever, not some other guy she met at some random shop.
I'm currently standing in my study, which is where I spend most of my time nowadays, staring out the window. It's a rainy spring day. As they say, 'March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers.' I hope there are flowers this may. In the last few years, we haven't been so lucky. I would love to plant some daisies. They were (Y/N)'s favorite.
Sebastian walks into my study, snapping me out of my dreamy stature.
"Young- wait. I'm still not used to calling you just plain 'My Lord'. You're not young anymore." he chuckles. I scoff. He was right, I'm now an adult, but I don't need my age rubbed in my face.
"Yes, Michaelis. I know how old I am," I snap "Now tell me what you need and get the hell out of my office." Sebastian sighs.
"Yes, my lord. Just today's mail." the demon says, in a voice too calm for any hellspawn.
"Just leave it on the desk. I'll go through it later." he nods and walks out. I sit in my chair and checked out the pile of mail on my desk. The newspaper, three letters, what looks to be a tax collection packet, and a package from who knows. I open the package, just my earl grey tea order from Italy. I look at the tax bill and throw it away. My duties to the queen are my payment to her. I open the daily paper. New stores, riot in America, a murder case solved by the queen's watchdog. Nothing new nor interesting. I look at the first letter, it's from Prince Soma. I don't care. The second letter is from Elizabeth. Probably just another beg for me to bring the engagement back. But the third letter sparks some interest in me.
It's from (Y/N). My heart leaps at the thought of her hands holding this letter. I light a candle and heat my pocket knife. Once it's the right heat, I swipe it under the wax seal, opening the letter. I carefully take out the paper from inside. A picture falls out of the envelope. I pick it up and it's a beautiful watercolor painting (Y/N) had painted. I smile at the drawing and place it in the drawer of my desk. I open the letter and begin to read it.
"Mon cher, Ciel:
I'm not sure if you have been receiving my letters since I never get any in return, but I hope this one reaches you. My father, as I have said before, was extremely ill. I say 'was' now due to him recently passing away. The sickness got too tough for his body to fight and he had to give way. As I am unable to run our family company by myself with no parents or siblings to rule with me, I have sold the company and my French estate. While it brings me a heavy heart, it was for the best. There is a letter inside of the envelope along with this one that my father wanted to give you as 'final wishes'. Nobody but my father knows what's inside of it, so I am unable to give you any warnings. Though I doubt he would say anything cross to you, after how you two left things, it is best to be cautious. I hope everything is well with your manor and with your staff. Tell them I send my best wishes this extra wet spring. I do have a small favor to ask of you. I am currently living in an old sweet shop with my aunt. She is barely able to provide for herself in the business, so I feel rude making her provide for another. I would love to guess you don't currently have any other guests over at the moment {but if you do, no problem I can ask someone else} so I was wondering If I could stay with you. If you are unable to host another person at this time, I understand. I can always ask my cousin if he is able. I apologize for the inconvenience.
I wish you good health,
(Y/N) (L/N)."
My heart drops at the fact of her father's death. He was a very kind and professional man. I looked through the envelope for a second letter. I found a smaller note inside. It must be the one from her father. I take a deep breath and open the note.
"Dear, Mr. Phantomhive:
I am going to cut right to the chase and just say, I am on the verge of death and probably won't live on. I want to tell you, if you wish to marry (Y/N), you have my blessing. I've seen the way you act around each other and it reminds me of her mother and me in our young lover days. While we left England, (Y/N) told me what you had said, and how she responded. I feel like what she had said was far from the truth. (Y/N) has told me multiple times that she completely adores you and I feel she was just scared. Don't let how she reacted loose hope in your romance with her. There is still a chance. Write her back and let her stay with you when I am gone. This will give you time to reconnect and hopefully become engaged. You are an incredible man, Mr. Phantomhive, and the perfect one for my daughter.
Treat her well,
Lord (Father's name) (L/N)."
He... did it. He gave me his blessing. His approval. I must have (Y/N) live here.
"Sebastian!" I call. Within seconds, my butler is standing outside my door.
"Yes my lord?"
"I need you to help me craft a letter to Lady (Y/N)," I say as I hand him a piece of paper and a feather pen. He nods. "What would you like to say to her, my lord?" Shit. I never thought of that.
"Uh... 'My dearest, (Y/N):'" Sebastian looks at me, waiting for me to continue.
"'My dearest, (Y/N):
I'm sorry for the loss of your father. I will keep both him and you in my prayers and thoughts. I would be deeply honored if you were to stay with us here. You may stay as long as you require. I... really miss you. You're always in my head. I and the servants will be overjoyed to have you retire here at out manor. I understand why you sold your land. Sometimes it's what you have to do. But as I stated, you are more than welcome to live at the Phantomhive estate. We will treat you with as much courtesy and respect as you deserve. Also, my dear, I saw the lovely painting you had made. You have an incredible talent when it comes to art.
I look forward to your arrival,
Ciel Phantomhive.'"
Sebastian finished the letter and handed it to me to proofread. I carefully place the letter in an envelope and seal it with a beautiful golden daisy wax. She'll love it. Sebastian takes the note from there and I sit back at my desk. I think of my (Y/N) finally, after seven years, coming back to me. It's been so long, I wonder how she looks. Probably beautiful. I mean, when does she not?
I can't help but smile at this known fact.

So I've figured out I'm making two endings to this book.
{The end is not for a while tho, sorry}
Ending one (I'm also going to call it 'The true ending' because it was my original ending and my favorite.) is where (Y/N)'s sickness does not get better and she passes away.
And then ending two will be she gets better and ends up living.
Translations:
Mon cher: My dearest.
I think that was the only one.
Au revoir, readers!
