"I swear I just saw Jesus! You know how hard it is to see someone else's God?!" Robin lays flat on his back with a hand cradling his chest where Rosie gave him a roundhouse kick. She snorts.
"I could go harder," Rosie sticks out a hand for Robin and he accepts it.
"Please don't. The point of this was to train you, not train me!" They laugh for a bit then continue their workout.
"Make your stance more-"
"Robin! Get over here now!" Wren all but cries out. Robin jumps out of the ring and jogs over to the commotion his brother has caused. Rosie watches from the ring.
When Robin reaches his younger brother, his eyes widen in surprise. Lucy lays unconscious on the matted floor, her hair falling out of her bun. Robin jumps into action, checking her pulse, breathing, and her responsiveness.
"Pretty sure she collapsed from exhaustion. When was the last time she had a proper nights sleep?" He questions Wren and he shuffles his feet.
"Maybe a week ago? She said she's been tired lately. Didn't think physically."
"Women have a tendency to tire out quicker then men. Their bodies are smaller than ours. Take her to her room and make sure she stays in bed till tomorrow morning. I'll check up on her then and come with food." Wren nods, not trusting his words as he picks up Lucy bridal style and carries her away.
"I suspected Lucy to take care of herself better than that," Rosie says when Robin returns.
"She usually does, but lately her sleep has been affected by all of her physical activity. The stress is starting to get to her."
"Well I hope she recovers safely." Rosie looks back at the door Wren took Lucy and sighs. Robin puts a reassuring hand on her shoulder and smiles down at her.
"Agents! Dinner is ready!" Raven calls from the front. Emily comes skipping her way over to her best friend, hooking her arm in Rosie's and following Raven out since they yet to memorize the headquarters.
Raven leads them all to an open dining room with a long narrow table in the center with at least 20 seats on each side. Raven shows Emily and Rosie to their seats, letting them choose who sits where. The girls start light chatter amongst one another. Tony sits in front of Rosie and Xavier takes a seat across from Emily. Tony joins into the conversation with ease while Xavier plays on his phone, ignoring the three.
The food is brought out minutes later, serving different cuisines that are way to fancy for the three new members. Dishes like Massaman Curry, Seafood Paella, Fish 'n' Chips etc. were served. The girls, sticking with the classics, grabbed different kinds of pizza.
"Can I have every bodies attention!" The clinking of a cup distracts the four from their food. Their attention now focused on Boss who stands at the far end of the table.
"I just want to capture the moment of a new team that has been created this very day," The people who fill the table look at one another, curiosity fills their faces. Boss turns, holding out a hand in the newly made teams direction.
"It is called Secret 5! This team consist of Xavier as their leader," X grumbles under his breath and sinks back in his seat, "Rosie, Emily, Tony, and sadly Lucy had a slight accident. Welcome team!" A small applause fills the room as the girls' face flush with red, embarrassed by the attention while Tony bathes in it, soaking it all up with a goofy smile plastered on his face.
"I swear I will snap his neck one day," Xavier says to the boy to his left.
"Nah man!" He slaps Xavier's shoulder, "Congrats on being team leader though. I know that's a tough position." The man goes to smack X's shoulder again but his wrist is stopped by Xavier's hand.
"I swear Bobby if you touch me one more time tonight I might be snapping your neck." The man now identified as Bobby chuckles nervously as he fiddles with his spoon.
"Oh your Bobby?" Rosie pipes in. Bobby's gaze meets hers. His eyes roam over her as a smirk appears on his face. He bites his lip before speaking.
"Well hello to you too dear. Who might you be?" Rosie's eyebrows shoot up in surprise.
"Oh great another womanizer," Bobby is the one to look surprised.
"Another womanizer? Who might the other one be?"
"Xav," A small smirk plants itself on her face as Xavier looks up from his phone and glares at her.
"Did you give Xavier a nickname?" Bobby looks completely baffled at this point, his eyes flickering back and forth between the two.
"Rose won't let it up," Xavier tosses in.
"Because you keep calling me Rose."
"So stop calling me Xav."
"You started with the Rose thing first!"
"Appears I did. So don't copy me and drop the nickname."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Yes-."
"Okay geez we get it!" Bobby announces, stopping the two from their bickering. They both glare at each other, now both in sour moods.
"Uhm, maybe we should go," Emily grabs Rosie's arm and pulls her up with her. Rosie complies and lets Emily drag her back to her room.
The two girls wander the halls for a good ten minutes before they recognize where they are. Emily takes Rosie to her room, letting her grab a drink from the mini fridge and plops herself onto her couch.
The girls decide to play reruns of SpongeBob as night falls. They chatter and laugh all the way to the later hours of the night. Around 8:00, they hear voices.
"It's probably just the others getting to their rooms," Rosie shrugs it off, making a grab for the remote. Emily's hand stops her. The two intently listen until they hear shouts and a loud alarm blare overhead.
"What the heck is that!?" Emily panics. She jumps up from her seat and looks through Rosie's door hole.
"I'm not sure," They listen more closely to hear pounding coming closer and closer to their door. The shouting is now clear as day. They can hear every word spoken from their mouths.
"HOLD HIM BACK BOBBY!" Someone shouts as a gunshot is released. Rosie and Emily both look at each other before making the rash decision to open the door.
Rosie sticks her head out, looking down the hall. Two men are pointing guns at each other. One of which is Bobby, the other, unrecognizable. A crowd has gathered around the two as they pace back and forth. Rosie's eyes look across the hall to see Xavier also looking at the commotion. Her eyes look him up and down, noticing he is holding a gun behind his back. He holds a single finger up to his mouth telling the girls to be silent as possible. That was a serious warning, why?
Because the guy fighting Bobby was not one of their own.
